Five of us girls were on our annual girls trip and wanted to go “thrifting”! After making my purchase because I didn’t want to rush the others I asked the woman who checked me out if she minded if I waited for my four friends to finish shopping if I could sit on their couch. “No you can not!” was her reply, I looked shocked but not wanting to make a scene told her “that’s ok, I can let my friends know and just go sit in the car.” I told one of the girls and did just that. I can promise though had I known BEFORE I made my purchase I would not have spent one dime. If I’m ever in this town again I will not visit this store again.

Great place to make donations. When you donate here it is going to help people who need it most.

There are special deals going on based on tag color, shoes or whatnot. The store is clean and very organized. I managed to find some nice tops there. I found most of their electronics and home items tend to be dated, hence a star is knocked off.

Selection was very limited. But clothing racks are so jammed its hard to look through. Prices are all over the place... No rhyme or reason.

About a month ago I walked in to the Salvation Army thrift store to browse and I found a couch that I liked and decided to purchase. The couch cost $39.99 and it came around to about $42 after taxes. I was been advised to pick the couch up no later than 72 hours after purchase. I arrived the very next day with a coworker who had a truck that allowed me to use it to deliver it to my house. I waited around for about 15 minutes for the worker to come back and tell me that my couch had been given away. I wasn’t incredibly upset because mistakes happen. But then the manager on duty told me that there are no refunds even though what happened was completely out of my control. They then offered me another couch or any other couch on the floor even though the couches that were on the floor did not interest me. She then said that she would call the person that they donated the couch to and retrieve it for me and exchange for another couch for them. I agreed with that and waited for a call from them because they said they would call me back whenever the couch came in. I not only did not receive a call but I called them three days in a row with no answer. I went in the following day after the cars just to be told that not only did my couch come back in but it was sold once again because they did not put it in the warehouse and left it on the sales floor. The manager once again took my name and number down to try and fix the problemTo no avail because I did not receive any phone calls. About a week later I tried to purchase items and asked if I could use the $42 balance that I spent on the couch that I could not get to use for the clothes that I wanted to buy and was told that I could not only do that but the $42 that I spent on the couch was unusable and just completely lost. These were words straight from the lieutenant of the thrift shop who is right above the manager. The manager was very very sweet and compliant and tried everything in her power to help me out it is the lieutenant who seems to not care for anyone but themselves that is making all of the rash decisions in that establishment. I do not and I repeat do not recommend shopping at the Salvation Army thrift store save your money save your time and save the frustration.

Very bad shopping experience at Lafayette Thrift Store. Manager DEFIANTLY refused to sell me items after I advised him that I intended to file a complaint against him. I did complain at the local office, at which time the SAME manager arrived at the facility and abruptly asked me to leave the building. That manager clearly put his own interests ahead of those of the organization that he represents.

It's very over priced for items that was donated to them to help the poor guy,it's priced as if the item is brand new,not only are they not new they have very noticeable wear and tear no matter what it may be it's very much used items priced the highest on a new retail.selection is great, you can find anything you want or need there for sure just don't expect it to be a good deal or bargain cause you are gonna find out you will be better off going to the mall to get it brand-new for the price they are wanting.

This store always has the most friendly staff and customers of any store in Lafayette! I was truly impressed during my visit on December 8th. The young man working was so kind, patient, and respectful of a disabled elderly woman during her purchase of many small items and her many questions. Whoever raised this young man did a fantastic job! Kudos to the manager that hired him.

It's pretty dirty here but it's worth an occasional stop in. One large room of clothes and one large room of furniture/household.
