Went into Rick Smith Audio today to get a new radio/back up camera in my vehicle. Andre was my sales person and he was very informative on what all was needed to accomplish what I wanted done and he was very knowledgeable on any questions I had pertaing to each device I wanted installed. I called around to get a few quotes before coming here and the price is reasonable for what I got. The service they said would typically take 3-4 hours I was out in about 2 1/2 hours.. Will definitely be coming back with my other vehicle. Thanks for great service!

I visited for a consultation regarding my radio. Initially quoted $450 for their radio, I opted to buy elsewhere but still purchased their dash kit. Andre assured a 7in radio would suffice, which I provided. However, upon return, I waited two hours only to be told the radio wasn't compatible due to missing screws, requiring another purchase. Frustratingly, this issue wasn't forewarned. Despite attempts to salvage the situation, the proposed solution wasn't aesthetically pleasing. Despite the lack of communication, their product installations are likely fine, but for external purchases, thorough inquiries are essential due to their communication shortcomings.

Went intoRicky's yesterday. There were three people working in there and they were talking to a young man about stereo speakers. I went in the store was never acknowledged. I waited about 12 minutes and no one ever acknowledged me so I left. I guess I didn't look like somebody who was there to spend 3 to $5000 on a home stereo.

Had a radio and back up camera installed. The steering wheel controls didn’t work from the jump. You would have thought they had tested them. They didn’t.The radio itself randomly switched between the inputs (Radio, AUX, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay) so bad that I couldn’t use Apple CarPlay nor listen to music. And I left on a 17 hour round trip vacation the day after it was installed. Needless to say I couldn’t use my radio or listen to music on my trip.Then the backup camera they installed sucked! I couldn’t look at it or rely on it at all or I would wreck into anything around me. It was set up so that when I looked at it everything was in reverse and until I adjusted it, I could have tried to back up to the top of a tree as it wasn’t even adjusted to show the road.And to top it off, when they put everything back on, they didn’t align it properly so I couldn’t open the hidden push door to control my info screen.Lastly, they just drilled a hole in my console for the USB cord for Apple CarPlay. Didn’t sand it down or properly add an insert so when I reached in the console I cut my hand.When I came back from my road trip, I went straight to them to take it out and refund me and they refused. They said it had a warranty and they would just fix it. I shouldn’t have to come back for a fix. It should have been done right the first time because now I don’t trust anything your technician is doing to my car!!! I tried calling the number for the CEO and she wasn’t in and no one there would help me either.This is beyond frustrating. There are too many other reputable places to go in town and I would definitely recommend using them instead of here.

Staff was nice and assisted quickly. Fixed my problem the same day as I bought my vehicle there. The two hour wait was worth it. Went over there sad about my radio and left from there happy it was fixed. I’m happy about the service I received today.

Multiple clips broken, panels cracked, and none of the speakers installed properly with removing the old rivets etc; seems the tech just cut and bolted where he could. One speaker was flopping with a single screw in it. The only thing done properly was wiring the amp up. The door lock mechanism was also broken, so now i can't properly lock the rear door.Update: They ordered and fixed the pieces, though denied wrongdoing, then decided to replace my door handle trim without knowing how to do it. Instead of undoing the single bolt to slight the lock mechanism outx their tech pryed from the outside on the door, scratching my door and handle. Certain staff onsite responded aggressively and emotionally after I did not take " well the handle already has damage" as an answer, as the handle did have some faded or missing paint. The piece installed was so malformed from the installation that the handle could not close properly and eventually fell off a day later. Luckily, they agreed to repair it but then banned me from the location in the same breath for their own mistake. While most of the staff on site are kind, courteous, and professional; I believe certain individuals could use some improvement. Attached are photos from after the piece fell. I hope to make individuals considering this business, aware of the risk they are taking.Update pt2: devided to remove the rear interior panels I paid almost $200 for then to sound deaden, just to discover little to know sound deadening done, and what was donenwas literally falling off. If I had known the con artists these people were, I'd have never wasted my time with their idiocracy. It's a shame that businesses like this survived covid while others failed. I would implore whoever goes here to either go somewhere else or do it yourself. If you must go to these people, be willing to check over everything they did because their only goal is to pump jobs out as fast as possible with little care to the quality of work.

I went in to get a new head unit installed. I was initially quoted $900, which I thought was steep. After I dropped the car off, I was called a handful of times about items they forgot to quote. I ended up paying over $1100. On top of that, when I received my vehicle back I lost audio functionality to my rear seat entertainment system after I specifically clarified before I dropped the car off. I dropped the car again to ultimately find out that there was nothing they could do about it. "That was my mistake. I'm sorry." and that is all. I ended up paying $1100 to lose functionality in my car. Unfortunately there is a significant lack of expertise in their field. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Watch a YouTube video and don't make my mistake.

Worst experience ever ended up bringing my truck to Lafayette Custom Automotive to fix everything they screwed up. Do not recommend ever going to this place.

Horrible hook up. My ground wire burned and luckily my car didn't catch fire. I have a 3000 watt amp and the wire they used was for a 500 watt from what I was told after bringing it to someone else for a correct hookup. Also they drilled a bunch of holes in my brand new car one of which went through my back seats arm rest. My bass nob keeps coming down from where they hooked it up. I would never recommend ANYONE to go here. If I could give 0 starts I would!
