drove to this location (Sat 3/12 after 8pm) which is a little over a mile from my residence, when normally I frequent the location on Renaud Dr, either after my commute to/from work...anyhow, I went to this particular DG, which is almost the same (if not less distance) from my home...when initially, I planned on going to the Family Dollar on University (towards Carencro on University but, being they were. closed due to rodent issues ???, I went to the DG on Gloria Switch..) anyhow, made my purchase(s) prior to me being next in line, there was a Caucasain man in front of me checking out, after he was "tallied" up, the young African American female cashier THANKED him and smiled after the transaction was complete..ok now I'm "up next" (only had MAYBE a total of 4-5 items) for one, I wasn't greeted when I walked into the store..then at checkout, the only verbal communication I received from the cashier was my total..ok fine ???..swiped my card..transaction was complete...I was handed my receipt (another thing, the guy before me was ASKED if he wanted his receipt..which is another thing/issue I have with some retailers...when a customer comes in and makes a purchase, in my personal opinion, I shouldn't be asked IF I WANT MY RECEIPT, ? just automatically give it to me..no big deal right? ..right..bc I'm sure they (cashiers) run across some customers who choose not to want/need their receipt..which is fine .totally their choice..however, you can't ASSume that every other customer is the same way...so automatically hand it to them, what the customer does with it after, is TOTALLY their choice ..whether it's to keep it or throw it...) now at this point, I am carrying on???♀️..but, anywho, she thanks the Caucasian gentleman before me...then when I checkout, I TELL HER "THANK YOU" which is normal to me..however, I received NO "THANK YOU.." OR "YOU'RE WELCOME" but you've showed the customer right before me "GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE" so basically, long story short, thank AND greet ALL OF YOUR CUSTOMERS! I pay attention to these type of things bc I'm big on CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and have delivered that on current job and previous employers. Evidently, this particular cashier does not possess those qualities with ALL customers, which is sad in a sense bc that's how they're paid..without business, no work/pay...smhmoral of the story, treat ALL of your customers the same..it's noticeable and actually hurtful in a way... especially if that customer is thanking you bc thats just natural for them to do..which essentially means, they're "good people" smh. and not to mention, she was also on her cell phone while waiting on customers (unprofessional) which may have had a lot to do with why she wasn't also greeting customers upon entry..And the thing of it is, I NEVER patronize this particular location.. lesson learned though ?

This is one of favorite stores. The customer service is great. The ladies are always willing to help and answer any questions I have. The only thing I would suggest is clearing and organizing the the aisles a little more, some times it's hard to navigate past all the boxes.
