Founded in 1985 by Barbara and Nelson Landry, Barnel’s – The Art & Framing Gallery has grown to become one of Acadiana’s largest custom picture framing shops. We also sell fine art originals and prints, custom window treatments, and an increasing selection of home accessories and gifts. Currently managed by daughter Alethea Barras, who began her career at Barnel’s in September 1992 part-time while working her way through college. After completing her studies in 1995, she joined Barnel’s full-time. She is the only Master Certified Picture Framer (MCPF) in the Acadiana area, a designation that is granted only to those who meet extensive qualifications; the most rigorous of which includes the successful completion of a 3 1/2 hour examination
