Terrible experience overall! My wife and I started an application for a HELOC on a paid off property in January of this year. We Spoke with Joseph Gajan, a family acquaintance. He said that the Application should take 30 - 45 days from the start. However, in MAY (5 months later) we were told that he "Forgot to run the credit"...after 5 months! Despite multiple emails, calls and even texts from our end to check on the progress during that time. All the info he needed plus extra, was provided in January. We even paid to alter the ownership of the property in order to expedite the Application, as well as used personal finances to bolster property values at that time for the coming up appraisal.After 5 months of waiting and being ghosted, we were told by Joe that we would not be accepted for the HELOC App. This was supposedly based on the fact that MY credit (lower) and my wife's credit (Better) are "Coming up as the same". However, when we checked with "Experian" the credit for my wife had NEVER BEEN RAN. Not a soft or hard check. Nothing. When we asked him to re-run it, he said he would under my wife's credit only. However, we have been ghosted for almost another 4 weeks. Despite again, 6 messages asking for an update. Or really any communication at all. No response was ever given.We placed the app in January because it is our best quarter. All finances etc were in place for the HELOC. This is why we reached out to Joe personally at that time. The property was appraisal ready, and all finances were set. Due to this negligence, we have missed out on multiple business opportunities relating to the HELOC. This overall has been one of the most disappointing and unsatisfactory experience we have ever had with a bank of any kind. 0/10 Would not recommended.
