I would give -0 stars if I could.
Came into this location around 6:30 on 4/28/24. Went to pay with a $100 bill and the “cashier” wants to tell me she cannot accept my $100 bill… She says “I cannot take this. Something is wrong with it, but I can’t tell you what it is” I proceed to give her a different $100 bill out of my wallet (it’s all I had.) She proceeded to tell me the same thing. I asked her if she had a counterfeit marker to check whatever she thought was wrong she said “No.” I asked her if I could speak to a manager and she replied “I AM the manager.” I doubt that. A manager would have a counterfeit marker to check the cash and the business itself would supply it for her.
As I was walking up to this “cashier” in the very beginning, she shouted for another worker who was stocking shelves to “Come up here baby they got too many people in this line.” Mind you, nobody is in line but me.. I was able to walk up and place my 4 ice creams on the counter without waiting.
I mean, to say the level of ignorance and unprofessionalism is outstanding. How can you refuse a VERY REAL $100 bill and state you have no marker pen to support your claims and not give me any logical reason as to why you cannot take my money. It’s extremely unfortunate if Walgreens continues to support and keep people like this employed with their business.
Let me also add that I was able to go to the next closest location next to my house and use the same $100 bill and check out with zero issues.
I am currently 6 months pregnant and high risk. I stop at this location often as it’s the closest to my house and easiest for me but I will not be returning to this location or continuing to support Walgreens if I do not hear anything back about something being done for this situation. How embarrassing.
Note to add: I am unsure what her name was exactly but I think her name tag said Angel.

The pharmacy’s customer service is non-existent. I’ve tried calling numerous times, and I’m fine being on hold.. but, a worker answers the phone and then immediately hangs up EVERY time after being on hold for an extended period. They’re impossible to get through to. This wasn’t always the case. I’m guessing it’s specific employees. I’m not the only person who has had this issue either. It’s happened enough times to me that I thought a review was necessary. Do better.

This pharmacy’s customer service is outrageous. You can’t even ask for someone’s name who kept you on hold for over 20 minutes and not get hung up on. You know who you are. Please shut this place down for the sake of the community, they serve.

Walgreens closed at 10PM and i walked in at 957 in need of one thing! The lady working was pleasant and didn't make me feel bad for coming in last minute. That in itself was enough. She also inquired about my day and brightened up the remainder of my evening with her good vibes. Thanks Mrs Karla!

I would give zero stars if it allowed me!I Went into the location on w. esplanade and Loyola today to make a purchase once the purchase was complete I asked the employee for my receipt and she told me it was sent digitally. I explained to her that I needed a paper receipt and she refused to print one. I than asked her to call the manager over and she told me "the manager is to busy to speak with you" I told her I would wait because I needed my receipt. When the manager finally did come over to talk to me I explained the situation to him and informed him of how rude his employee was (her name is Nova). The manager told me their is nothing he could do and refused to reprint it because it was sent digitally. I than asked him for the corporate complaint number and his name. The manager proceeded to tell me he was not giving me his name and that I did not need it because my issue was not with him. I was shocked that a manager for a corporate store who works in customer service would refuse to give his name and be so unwilling to give a paying customer a copy of the receipt. He proceeded to be rude and walk away. I have been in customer service for over 20 plus years and would never allow my customers to be treated so rudely by a staff member and a member of management. I will not shop at this location ever again. These two employees should not work in customer service as they clearly do not know how to treat their customers. I am still confused as to why it was so hard to reprint a receipt. I was at another location yesterday 01/25/23 and had no problem getting a paper receipt.

I ordered a custom bday card and some photo prints. I received an email that my order was ready and when I went to pick up my orders, they said the printer was broken for the bday card. I asked why would they send an email that the order was complete if they were unable to fulfill the order, and she said she hit complete just to clear it out the computer. I could have sent my order elsewhere if I was advised of the issue early on. It wasn’t till I left the site, that i received another email that my order couldn’t be complete. Extremely unprofessional and terrible customer service!

The lady name Anita s. Was so rude. I had got there to pick up my order I ordered online and they didn't have the curbside option so I went to the photo counter and when she got there she was saying something but I didn't make it up cuz she was wearing a mask. So i kept saying i ordered some stuff online and shes like you mean curbside. So she decided to give me attitude so I gave her attitude back. If she doesn't like working there to serve customers she should go work somewhere else or retire!. I'm not ordering anything from this walgreens!

After hurricane Ida you couldn't pick up meds unless you own a car. That's some eletist B.S. right there. They were just trying to kill off the patients that needed meds the most. After Katrina they did their best to help people get their meds. After Ida that didn't care if you die as long as you owned a car you could have medicine.
