This us the second time the price on something I bought was wrong. Once they charged me $25 for 4 scones. Today they charged me two different prices for the same thing. Also, there produce is rotten when I get it. Especially salad, and the meat spoils fast. It's gross. Rouses is overpriced and mediocre. Whole Foods is the same price and a million times better.

The deli associate Jake was so helpful. He made great suggestions and was very curtious. They have whole hot lunch plates and a dinner bar. Who knew?

Our favorite grocery store!Always clean with helpful and very polite employees! They have great sales every week, tons of local food and alcohol. The sushi bar is good for grocery store sushi. The bakery is really good but the one on power is better and bigger. Seafood department and meat are always fresh and reasonably priced. They have a butcher in house that will do cuts if you ask. They sell live and cooked crawfish.

Their produce is always going bad (example: every one of their avocados are black every time I look for some there). Some of their sections never get restocked and will look the same for weeks. I go out of my way to go to other rouses locations, but it seems to me that all of the rouses are starting to become run down throughout the years like the CEO just doesn't care anymore. Plus the king cake is definitely one of the worst choices in the city.Edit: the avocados had flies all around them tonight and they smushed if you pressed down on them! What is going on with management at this location.

I just left Rouse’s in Kenner. As I was walking Toward the checkout, cashier #3 without anyone in line, was giving me such a miserable look that I decided to pass her and went to cashier #6. She was so short I thought she was sitting down. This one was leaning on her hand with her arm over the scanner (not hygienic) with her back to the store and looking out of the window. At no point did she acknowledge me so I said “hello”. The young man bagging finished and I said “thank you” to which he responded, “uh-huh” and walked away. The cashier did not tell me my total, handed me my receipt without a word. I said “thank you” she picked up her drink, sipping on it like a rebellious school child and said “you're welcome”. I took the hot shrimp out because they were bagged with the frozen foods and had to ask her to please place them in another bag. When she did, she tossed it toward me in a rather abrupt manner. The failure is not with the staff but rather with the hiring and/or training supervisors and even beyond them. I have refused to shop at any Rouse’s for years because these behaviors are the norm. My husband goes, instead as he has more patience but that also has diminished. We are strong believers in helping local businesses but we work very hard for our money and yes, it spends anywhere.Perhaps rather than attempting to overthrow our democracy on January 6th, the powers that be should focus on the people that keep them and their families fed.Thank you for reminding me what and who you truly are, Rouse’s. Enjoy my last donation to your business.
