I only go in now n then for big soft drink. Gas prices are too high

Bought a breakfast sandwich there. Didn’t realize it was to be discarded at 1:45pm that day. Took it back and the clerk and other employee said it was still good. Why would I be ok with a sandwich that will expire in a few hours. And why was there a issue when they needed to just replace it and apologize.

Was closed and doors were locked when I was there yesterday around 7PM, 5 customers waiting on the outside.
