“So....I ran into this lady at the SWLA Human Services Office here in Town ( Lake Charles, LA.) and OF COURSE ?me and my love for the heart of any home...The Kitchen! We started talking about the prices or rise of the price of groceries and meat deals. They do not offer meat deals but the prices of the meat and the beauty ? Red marbleized ribeye steaks and the ox- tails...full of meat. There is also a butcher there for your every need but Fridays and Saturdays he gets off of work at 12 noon. It's SO.....WORTH THE DRIVE. I'll post some pictures on my next visit ☺️”
“It's wonderful to have this store as a "neighborhood" store, much better than driving 15 min each way into Jennings. The store is almost always fully stocked, wide selection of fresh food (for a dollar store), expansive range of household goods as well. Employees have always been helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to help. They're usually short staffed, but that's to be expected at small rural stores like this. If u want an express checkout, drive 15 min to Walmart.”
“I just want to explain that the Dollar Store located in Evangeline happens to have a Jennings address. I’ve read several reviews that stated it was the Jennings store, but in fact we are not. There has NEVER been a man named Brian that has been employed at the Evangeline nor has a woman named Tina. We ALWAYS welcome reviews from anyone. If there is something we can work on, we are more than happy to do anything to fulfill anyone’s request. We love our store and want it to be the cleanest, friendliest experience you could ever have shopping there. We love our repeat customers and welcome any new customers. Our staff is more like a family and in turn treat our customers the same way. There isn’t a question that you cannot ask. We will always be happy to answer and help in any way. Our employees take all of these things very seriously.”
“It's a fast shopping trip if you know what you're looking for and a long one if you're looking around! You can find things sold here that are no longer sold elsewhere and things you can't find anywhere else but here! Only downside is that it's always cluttered because they don't have enough room to put it all!”
“It's Walmart. Almost everyone shops there. What's not to love about Walmart. I'm hard pressed to find a more cheaper big box store that will or can out beat Walmart prices. Ole Sam Walton knew what he was doing.”

“Great little local grocer. Best place to get meat. Good selection on drinks, too. Lyons Mart usually has a lot if little specialty foods and drinks you can't find anywhere else in town.”
