The staff was very friendly and its a cool house. A very distant ancestor of mine was married to the daughter of the man who had the house built so I was glad they let us come in and look around.”

“This was so much fun for my group and me! We went for my bachelorette, and the team was great. When I reached out for booking I was given such clear information it made it very easy to plan. Communicating with Sharon was so simple and she was very responsive throughout the whole planning process. Once we arrived, we were shown to our private room with AC and a private restroom and our own already decorated balcony. We were able to just walk in and enjoy the experience. The acoustics in this place are great and the stadium seating toward the back was comfy. The only complaint is there was no bottled water to purchase.”

“A nice park with a walking trail, 2 Playgrounds (one is covered) a pond to feed all of the different types of ducks, geese and birds. But NO BREAD. Only cooked rice, seedless grapes, oats and corn. Bread makes them sick. We had fun here.”

“This place is an absolute gem in New Orleans! I was able to coordinate corporate dinner with the Calcasieu team all the way in Hawaii. I worked with Jacques and he was extremely helpful. Planning out the pre-fixe menu was easy with Jacques’ guidance and help. The pricing was very reasonable. When we arrived on the day of our event, there was a cute tripod sign out on the sidewalk leading up to the event’s site that outlined our team’s business meeting dinner. The location is nestled in between Cochon and Cochon Butcher’s Block. The ambiance of the place is very chic and trendy, but industrial, with the metal and kiln-fired brick look. The lighting is dim, but not too dark. The staff are EXCELLENT!! The day of our event I worked with Aaron and his bartending/server team, Monroe and Nick, and our Chef was Chef Anthony. Everything was PERFECT. From the pre-made cocktails to match our event’s theme, to the delicious pass apps (hors d’oeuvres) that were served to our guests. We had the smoked salmon dip on a kettle chip appetizer that was really tasty! And the veggie skewers that also didn’t disappoint. The pre-fixe dinner menu was a hit among our 26 guests! The salad was really yummy… the light refreshing taste of the dressing was delightful. I had the roasted chicken with sweet potatoes garlic confit and chicken jus that was insanely divine!! I wanted more!!! Others in our party enjoyed the braised beef short rib with mashed potatoes and onion jam. Everything was so well seasoned and delicious! Then the dessert was the chocolate chip bread pudding with a crème anglaise sauce and a pineapple upside down cake. Nothing fell short of what was expected… matter of fact, everything exceeded our expectations to the max! Thank you to Aaron, Chef Anthony, Monroe and Nick for the exceptional customer service! I will definitely visit again when we’re back in NOLA. Thank you all for your exquisite hospitality and amazingly delicious food. I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat because it’s THAT GOOD!!!”

“I have had probably about 4-5 of my kids birthday party here. They make it so easy that you do not have to worry about a thing. You show up, drop what you need off in the front, and you just enjoy your kids birthday party without a worry. It is nice how you get the whole place to yourself. There are plenty of inflatables to keep all the kids busy. The room to eat and sing is the perfect size. They also do everything. I highly recommend Candyland if you are looking for a place for your kid's birthday party.”

“Words cannot express how thankful we are for Latrobe’s and how AMAZING our wedding was. 6 months before our wedding, our original venue had to cancel on us and we were left scrambling. We reached out to Latrobe’s and they helped us out tremendously and worked out any problems we had. Rylan answered our many many phone calls and questions, and was so incredibly helpful. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. I had no stress at all and all the employees were INCREDIBLE. They always made sure we were okay, had food, and a drink in our hands! I’m so thankful our original venue canceled because we got to have the wedding of our dreams at Latrobe’s. Thank you thank you thank you!!!”

“Parking can be a challenge at night. It’s near several great restaurants and fast food places. The breakfast is typical American fair with eggs, waffles, biscuits, bagels, and grits. There’s no individual protein like sausage and bacon. The room was spacious and fit 6 comfortably. One issue was that you cannot add guests to the room without paying a fee. Supposedly it is free before checking in but the front desk is impossible to reach before check in. The phone will just ring and loop back to the main line. Pricing was high but it was worth it for comfort and safety.”

“Love this place. Nice place to go and have a lil fun without a bunch of kids running all around you. It’s a game room for adults. Games are very cheap. Only .50 cents each. Pool is also only .50 cents a game. Only downfall is they only have 4 pool tables which they tend to fill up very quickly no matter what day of the week it is. It’s my go to when I’m bored and just wanna get out the house and have a lil fun. Another plus is they serve alcohol.”

Beware, there are items being smoked inside (everything but cigarettes) so know that your clothes will smell the next day. Or something to consider if you have asthma.

Food was amazing, my Husband LOVED the cookies, I was partial to the Chicken pasta-really great sauce! Decorations were classy and high quality (not balloons and also not "over the top"). This definitely felt like a first class affair! It's not often I'm thankful for an invite to a party where I knew absolutely no one who was going to be there except my Husband, but this venue definitely made, even me, feel comfortable.
