I have had several belts repaired here in recent years; they have always done a great job! I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing a belt repaired or shorten!

Bayou Belts is the first cobbler I have ever been to that truly took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. The first thing I brought to him was a pair of sandals that had decorative stone work on it. He told me he could fix it, but may not be able to work around the stones. I told him they were one of my favorite pairs and I just wanted them fixed, knocking a stone out or not. I was so pleased by his work, and all the stonework was untouched when I picked them up. I'm so glad he took the job. I have since brought him other shoes. He is always friendly and attentive to his customer. I couldn't have felt more at ease leaving very expensive shoes with him and all have come out beautifully. Definitely first class workmanship.

Exotic skin belts especially alligator. Prices are good. They make custom belts and resize belts. All kinds of leather work. They do very good work. Have made me a great leather belt at less cost that has lasted longer than similar one bought at box store at same time. Takes about a week.

While I was in high school my dad bought me an alligator belt and I'm not kidding when I tell you that I wear that thing all the time. If you see me in anything other gym clothes, a suit or pajamas, chances are I'm wearing that belt. Finally, after 15 years of continuous wear, the belt started to come apart. The leather on the back was all warped and stretched out and was separating from the alligator skin. The holes were all stretched out from me getting fatter as I got older. The loop had fallen off. I took it to Bayou Belts to see if it could be repaired. The owner told me that he could take it apart, clip the leather and reshape it, fix the loop and clean it but it wouldn't be perfect because there was so much wear on it. He also said it would be fairly expensive. I'm looking around at his store and he's got belts starting at about $500, so I'm thinking I'd be willing to spend about $150 to get this one decent looking. He calculates the cost and it's like $25. Of course I tell him to go ahead with the repair. A few days later he calls me up to let me know that it's finished. I'm not expecting that much, not for $25. I get there and the belt looks almost brand new. It feels and smells brand new. The alligator skin is polished and looking great! The leather on the back is flawless. I can't believe how incredible it looks for only $25 worth of repair. If your belt is looking janky, I can't recommend this place enough!

Great service! I had a belt resized (one of those belts that are sold with a generic size, and are supposed to be cut to the size of the wearer). It took about 10 minutes and 21$.

Being a very petite lady (almost 5'0), I have trouble with strap lengths on many bags. The sales clerk at Saks suggested I look into having it adjusted. I did a quick search, this place popped up and was in the neighborhood so, I said what the heck I'll give it a try. So glad I came here. The guy was super friendly and thoroughly explained everything to me. Affordable and quick (next day TA). Will definitively use them again. Satisfied customer.
