“My car was making a terrible grinding sound so I took it to a top rated shop in Mid City, they told me it was too old for them to work on but recommended Richie‘s. In the process of driving it over there it ground to a complete stop and was inoperable, turns out the brakes had been locked in position and I was driving this way until I couldn’t get it to roll forward anymore. I don’t know much about cars but feared a ~$1000 bill as this is around what I’ve paid the last few times my vehicle has developed a concerning noise, and on these occasions, I still was able to at least operate it. I was prepared to replace the brakes, calipers, maybe even repair the wheels from all the grinding, or stress on the engine from gunning it so hard just to get the thing to roll again on the way there. These guys had me back on the road in 24 hours for $130, explained how the problem had likely come about and even did a little preventative maintenance. I’ve found an honest mechanic to be surprisingly difficult to come by in the past, and beyond that, $130 is incredible for parts and labor considering my car couldn’t even move forward an inch. Thanks a bunch guys!! I’ll be by again the next time something goes wrong”

If you have a fifth-generation Ford Explorer, these are the guys to go to for timing chain and water pump jobs. The dealership wanted to charge me $4,200 just for the pump replacement alone—not even including the timing chain. Ryan did everything for $3,600, saving me a ton while ensuring top-quality work.

“My experience with Jefferson Auto Service was incredible! They were so kind, helpful, thorough, and my car runs better than it ever has. Their prices were very fair and reasonable. Personally, the best part is the super detailed report you get when you have the diagnostic test done. I’ve never received a report with such detail that includes pictures and videos of the assessments of YOUR car being done. As someone who loves data, this was absolutely fascinating and so comforting to know that I wasn’t paying for something I didn’t need. My cars will never see another automotive shop because they are my forever mechanics now. Super grateful for them and their skill and hospitality! 10/10 all around! And they have complementary full size cans of Diet Coke (as well as many other options) in their waiting area!! What a luxury!”
