I went back-and-forth between three and five stars. Initially, I was giving this company three stars because of the fact that I was given inconsistent information. On the date of pick up, the truck came without notice. I was not home, had not secured my contents, and had my personal lock on the outside. I called ABF Freight and the person who assisted me didn’t seem very interested or concerned about my predicament. The man that I spoke with said they do not call or schedule a specific time for pick-up, which I find to be odd considering the fact that I could’ve been still loading things onto the truck that morning. They assume when the date arrives for your pickup, the truck should be ready to go. However, shortly after my call, the driver returned. He had only gone a couple of miles but I was still concerned that some things had shifted. He opened up the back, and I was so surprised that everything was still intact. Even he was happy that none of my things had been damaged. The reason for the five stars is because the driver, Shane, helped so much with relieving my stress. He was so calm and assisted me with securing my contents and putting up the bulkheads and the ramp. He did much more than I’m actually expressing/explaining. I generously tipped him because I sincerely appreciated how he handled the confusion and my anxiety. I wish all drivers would display the professionalism, consideration, and empathy for customers as Shane. He is one of the very few type of workers that you actually run into these days when it comes to doing business. He is definitely an asset to the company and a blessing to the customers’ that he serves.Another reason for the five stars is the fact that the shipment arrived 4-5 days earlier than expected. They picked up the trailer in LA on March 7 and expected to arrive in AZ between March18-20. It arrived on March 13 (although I was still in Louisiana) but the representative said, I still had my 7 to 9 days that was promised and it would remain at their yard until I got into town.Side note: we followed the directions and watched a video, but and the ramp did not seem very secure, and would move slightly. There was nowhere to hook it so it could only be placed flat against the back of the truck, which didn’t seem to be very secure. However, we managed to get everything loaded safely.Despite a few minor hiccups, all in all, I would definitely use this company again, who is contracted by U-Pack.

Very disappointing. I ordered the trailer to be brought to my home on Florida and to be delivered to Louisiana. When booking I was told they checked to see if they could drop it at the New Orleans location and was told they could. the day before it was to be delivered they said they were not able to bring it to my location. when i ask what to do the suggested a uhaul. if I had wanted to drive this myself I would have gone that route in the first place! i ended up having to hire movers to get the stuff off the truck and bring to my location. it cost me 1000 more than it should have even with the measly $600 they refunded. and I ended up paying a $60 cancellation fee for the movers I booked through them as there was no trailer for them to unload. my move ended up more expensive and much more stressful.

Absolutely horrid! All of the rumors I heard were correct, they weren't efficient whatsoever, extremely rude to my husband, and had such sloppy work!

I was really scared because I had heard horror stories about using movers to move your things accross states. However I chose u-pack. I was a smooth t ransitiib from New Orleans to Nebraska. I used movers off their website in both states to load and unload. I did not have broken items I moved a China cabinet and all its contents, and glass tables. They arrived when they said and delivered within the time they said I am really pleased I would definitely use again

They were good when we got to the location, it was easy to access and load the U-Pack, however they were supposed to deliver it to our house and change their minds at the last minute and said that they couldn't deliver it because the streets were too narrow. We have had you packs and U-Haul storage boxes on our street before and it's never been a problem so I don't know why it was this time. They did give us a discount for the inconvenience, but the expense incurred from renting a truck to get everything to the location was more difficult than the discount was worth.

Projected Delivery Date online just keeps changing automatically to the next day at the end over every day. Our shipment is over 1 month late now and shows that it is sitting at the local distribution center.

Had a large package shipped to this station in Jefferson (Near Harahan). They ask that you pay in advanced of scheduling a pickup, which was not a problem. My pickup was quick. Wharehouse personnel were quick to load my package on my trailer. I will use them again for my next shipment in a few weeks.

U-Pack is amazing. Everyone was extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure my stuff was safe. Great alternative to the more expensive services. I also hear ABF has great LTL service!

UPack/ ABF truly saved us when our original movers flaked out the day of our planned move. Tom was pleasant, resourceful when scheduling our trailer and responsive to any (panicked, last minute) questions I had. We were provided a tracking number for our trailer and were able to stay up-to-date on our delivery date; they even held our trailer for an extra couple days until we could get the keys to our new house. Anyone we encountered throughout this process was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable (or willing to research the answer). The cherry on top was that we ended up paying HALF of what our original moving quote totaled with the company who stood us up! We will definitely be using UPack/ ABF with our next move.

From a one bedroom apt move to another one bdrm apt was pretty turn key for us! They delivered the cubes for loading at the Nola apt. They called the complex ahead to see if parking the cubes was permitted for a few days! After loading they came and picked them up (one surprise was that the freight co. doing the pick-up did not work on weekends) since I was not in a rush, no prob; but if I would have been that would've been problematic. They delivered the cubes to our destination in another state. I made arrangements w the receiving apt complex of where to park cubes for unloading. Using Upack helped me because their quote was consistent ! No extra insurance. No extra fee for a driver. They did what they said they'd do, in the time frame they said they'd do it! You have to be proactive in checking out for parking spots and permits to make things run smoothly. Communication is key! Check in with the upack office a couple of times to see if you are both on the same page about the details!
