“A rare find… A very honest automotive repair facility!
I just purchased a used 1997 Ford Expedition and brought in to get the transmission serviced as it was sluggish in shifting when trying to get on the highway or up steep grades. I by a recommendation from someone I now trust very much I brought it to Prevost for service.
I was barely home from dropping it off when I received a call from them. Expecting they were going to say I needed major work and not just a preventative maintenance service, I was caught by surprise when he said I could come pick up my vehicle.
He said it was the catalytic converter that was causing the problem, not the transmission. He described the exact issues I was experiencing. I didn’t explain it as he described, only said it was sluggish in shifting after hard slowing or up hills.
He said he was not charging me for the diagnostics, but hoped I would remember Prevost if I ever required transmission service in the future.
This is a place you can trust!
As we talked he recommended a place for the exhaust work, and upon my request a place for general automotive repair.
I suspect both will be as honest as he is as they are where he takes his personal vehicle.
