You will have a much BETTER experience at the Walgreens Pharmacy at 1435 West Tunnel Boulevard in Houma. It's not that much further of a driver, either. This pharmacy has given me so many issues and I have held my tongue for so long because all I wanted were my prescriptions to be filled properly. I am not even talking about having problems about getting my medication(s) filled because that is rarely the technicians' fault. I am simply addressing their attitude and behavior. I have met very lovely staff over there throughout the years. There is one lady in particular that is younger looking with dark, dark hair that is past her shoulders and she is very disrespectful. She never has a nice thing to say; not even a simple "Hello" but more of a "What do you want?". I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I have never had a nice encounter with her ANYTIME I have interacted with her at the register. It is as if she has a bad day EVERY single day and takes it out on every single customer possible. Yesterday was the last straw when she wanted to have a very loud attitude with me while I was being very kind and quiet (I like my privacy when it comes to my medicine), just asking questions about a prescription. Despite her being the rudest staff member I have come across, she is definitely not the only one I would love to complain about.I called the West Tunnel Walgreens today to switch everything over and have never been treated so kindly over the phone by ANY Walgreens staff member at the Bayou Gardens location. Anytime I have had to call the Bayou Gardens location, I have heard so many mean things being said about me when they think I am on hold but am in fact not, (and I do not give them a reason to say anything rude). If you are not a people person that is great, but please find a job that accommodates your skills. I do love this Walgreens for shopping purposes BUT will not be back for shopping as well as my pharmacy needs after this last visit. I know they won't miss a single customer but hopefully this helps steer people towards a better location with much kinder staff that care.

The pharmacy is a nightmare to deal with every month. They never have my prescriptions. You have to sit in a line for two hours to pick up. Don’t trust them to contact your doctor for refills or issues with meds. I DO NOT recommend.

They refuse to sell home covid tests at the drive thru, Even tho you waited in a long line, sick, and have small children in the car with you.

Stay away if you are looking for a pharmacy to fill the correct meds and doses you need. They once overdosed my son so bad he almost had to go to the emergency room at 5 years old! I was recently given the wrong prescription myself. Both times without even an apology. Numerous times I've went to get a prescription that i was told was filled. Only to hear they don't have any in stock. Waste of time and gambling on meds isn't for us.
