I was in the hospital all night at Chabert Medical Center last night and found out that I have pneumonia. I was given multiple prescriptions for antibiotics, steroids, an inhaler, nebulizer medication that clearly shows rescue on it and a prescription for a nebulizer machine. I was given said prescriptions and told to give them to my local pharmacy and I would be given my medication and my very own nebulizer machine as of course I didn't own one , I did as I was told and my pharmacy gave me all my medication except for my nebulizer machine in which to use the life saving medication that I Very much need!! Instead I was met with argument and given false information! The pharmacist took my prescription to her boss while arguing with me that what I possessed and was given by my doctor to get my breathing machine was not a prescription!!! They told me to call the hospital or go in to get a valid prescription, so I did and it is a valid prescription, It must go to Houma Urgent Care Pharmacy or some other place that carries nebulizer equipment. Ok so correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't at least the pharmacist's boss know the correct procedure as to how a patient fills a prescription for a nebulizer machine, even if the emergency room doctor who wrote it thought it just went to the pharmacy, should not the head of pharmacy know how this is done and what I was holding is a valid prescription?? Instead I was met with attitude and told my prescription was not a prescription at all! I don't think that I'm going to be filling medication where they can't even verify a nebulizer machine prescription or tell me where to fill it, and fyi cvs fills them so why does Walgreens not even know what it is???

I had forgotten my prescription flying down to work in Houma. My Doctor sent it to the Walgreens on Grand Caillou. Suzette was working in the pharmacy and filled my script. The pharmacy was busy busy that day. Thank You, Suzette and the other pharmacy staffers there for giving amazing customer service as busy as they were. They never missed a beat ?????
