As an owner of a gym, I am always hard on what a gym should operate like, treat their members, and guest. Powerhouse treated us with respect, allowed us to get a water on the house and a complimentary workout. If I had lived in Houma, I would have became a member, as they truly take care of their members and guest. The lady at the front desk was polite and friendly, gym was clean, and people were all picking up and reracking. Great place

I’m convinced Owner “ BIG COUNTRY” has a Roid Rage problem. I have never been so disappointed in a gym before , he’s very rude and disrespectful. I’m not sure if it’s a race problem but it sure seemed like it. More like “ Little Country” to me ?

One of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. If you’re local or visiting, you should go here. The owner is super awesome and a great guy to talk to. The gym has all the equipment to train and get a killer workout in.

I had the opportunity to work out at the Powerhouse Gym in Houma, LA while there for a week on business. Suffice to say, it easily ranks in my top five favorite gyms. I travel extensively and hate to miss workouts. Thus, I try to locate a gym that meets my needs before I start a trip. For Houma, I sent a text message to the number listed on the gym website inquiring about day passes, etc. I received a text back right away with the info I needed.I went to the Powerhouse on my first day in Houma and knew immediately that I had made a great decision. After meeting the owner (Country), it was clear to me why the gym had all the equipment I needed, was very clean, and spacious. I ended up getting three workouts in at the Powerhouse that week.The only thing that would make this gym better was for it to be in my town so that I could workout there regularly.

Tried to go work out for a day , since my gym was ckosed for the fourth of july , guy who greeted me never gave me eye contact , said he is not accepting money and gym is for members only …… i really wanna say something else , but i will leave it at that …. Zero class forsure

Best gym in Houma. Period If you're looking to support some local business owners, this is the place. Country was always willing to help with anything I asked.

From the phone call to my actual experience this gym is awesome !!! Big country “the owner” is happy to be there and has established an amazing gym with tons of equipment and weight for what you need. He looks out for his member and after a devastating hurricane this is the first gym that opened in the area

I love it here. Much much better than the previous gym I was going to. Very clean and everyone re racks the weights when they’re done with the equipment(Biggest thing I didn’t like at my old gym is everyone not re racking weights after they finished). Lots of great equipment to use here. Very friendly and helpful environment. Definitely recommend! I’m very glad i started coming here!
