My wife picked up two mice for our pet snake and the associate that helped her refused to double box the mice! We live a good distance from the nearest Petco and it does not take the mice long at all to chew through one box!

Petco is a great place to get anything you need for your pets. They have just about everything you want and need. Their pets are pretty well taken care of from what I can see. Their prices and sales are great. The reason for 4 stars is because of their aquatic section. The fish tanks always seem to dirty and the fish could be a little better taken care of. I still get the fish there, but just wish they would do a little better on their upkeep.

I called the Houma,La store for purchase information about a parakeet I would be coming from out of town to get the bird, the lady that answered sounded like she was asleep, told me she was at register and I can call back later. No thanks I will purchase from another store.

I have not been this store for over a year because there is never anyone to help you. No customer service at all. I needed food for saltwater fish. As always the tanks were full on algae hair, bubble and brown carpet algae. While checking out i asked why they cant keep tanks clean. I was told that's the way the should be. It was good algae. I have had saltwater tanks for over 15 years. That is ridiculous who would want to tank in their home so filthy. I have shopped in other stores for saltwater fish and have never seen tanks like that my purchase of fish food on the counter I wouldn't even buy it from them because of their attitude. Don't waste time going into the store.

My fiance and I bought 3 parakeets from here months ago, we go back today and one of the many managers of the store named Kenny said that there is a policy for when you purchase any animals...the policy is that you must have a picture of the habit that you have your animals in or they will not sell you the animal. Which they do not have anything posted about the policy around any of the animals for purchase. So I would suggest that they put up signs about when you purchase an animal of any kind.
