This place came by recommendation. Unfortunately I feel as they walked all over me due to me being a young female. When I called to get an update on when my car would be finish the man was passive and rude.

The first few visits I had a good experience. I really though I was developing a good report with the manager. My 2019 Cayenne developed a trouble light. I was unsure what it was for so i called in and spoke to the manager, Rool? (I forgot his name) I expressed to him I wanted to be very sure he can handle the repair. He said he would get with his technician and let me know. The next day he called me and said they can handle it. We brought the car to him a day or so later. That afternoon he called me and said they could not fix the trouble code that they did not have the software. I was disappointed, but I figured I would have to wait for an appointment at the dealer. It's my daughters car now and she went to pick it up after she got off work. She called me upset because German Auto charged her $180+ (I need to get her to look back at the charge). I immediately called the manager, whom I have had great experience with previous maintenance; oil change and such. He immediately got defensive with me. Gave me the lecture about if he does not get paid his staff does not get paid. I explained to him that is not my issue or the issue at hand. The issue is that he reassured me they could handle the repair when I called ahead of the appointment to specifically verify that. He went on to explain his technician has time in to it and must get paid. He also explained to me that when you go see a doctor he has to get paid for his time. I did not see the correlation here and was unaware he had PHD's turning wrenches in his shop. He refused to agree that he verified that he could do the repair and I agreed to do the service with him based on that information. He finally said he would talk to the owner and get back with me. I asked why he had to argue with me for 15 minutes instead of just starting out with that. I was extremely frustrated.I explained to him that I own a large service based business with over 100 employees. I would never charge my clients for similar situation. I would not have many clients left if I charged my clients every time something went wrong on a job. Our policy in my company is that we win together and lose together with our customers. We understand that we make mistakes or that sometimes matters are out of our control and we have to make it right to preserve our customer loyalty. The previous owner of German Auto, Tommy was that sort of owner. The new owner should pay more close attention to his customer base and manage his manager a bit better with some customer service training.I have made an appointment with Porsche NOLA. I have to wait 2 months, but they treat me like I am their only client when I go there. They treat my wife like she is a queen there, lol. I wont mind paying a premium for that service now, looking in the rear view mirror.

I drive a $64k Mercedes and the guy that came out to look at my car acted as if I'd stolen it. RUDE and not one offering the initiative to have my car repaired there! My car is 10 years old but you'd think it was an old Pinto the way the representative talked to Me! Good bye!

I took my 2007 VW beetle here to get it repaired because the car completely stopped. It took 2 MONTHS (of my car being in the shop) for me to figure out that they weren’t going to fix it. After calling them to get updates and reports on my car they told me it was a process of elimination and it might take awhile. They have not fixed it to this day not to mention my rear drivers side taillight is broken(the plastic cover is shattered). And my battery cover is inside of the car and not where it belongs… I’m currently getting it fixed somewhere else, that is more trustable and quick. Tbh this place is probably a half-job repair shop that scams people for their money. I wish I could give zero stars since they did zero work on my car. I’m not saying to not go there but i’m very unhappy with my experience with them and heavily influence you to go elsewhere.

My car was having strange electrical problems, and the battery wouldn't hold a charge. Although I had had the battery tested at three parts stores over a period of a couple of weeks, and all three said the battery was fine, GAR was confident it was the battery -- and they were right.

1. no itemized invoice. 2. Took everything loose in the rear of s.u.v. and did not put anything back together, left all parts scattered. 3, Charged $700 to order part. Was actually charged $680.04 for an identical part that sells for under 200.00 0n line. Charged $165.00 an hour for labor. Total labor cost $1237.50. All total $1917.50 to change a condenser. Stated I should changed main an aux. battery which would have brought the total cost to $3000.00. I decline to have that work done. Also kept calling wrong phone number to get in touch with us. He didn't verify our number. our number has been the same for many years. PLEASE check reviews before have work done.

I brought My Mercedes to a dealership(I won't mention the name) on March 31,2023. I was told on April 24,2023 (almost a month later) my bill would be 2,598.00 for the repairs. Thank God, I did my research on German Auto Repair! I called German Auto Repair on, April, 24,2023 to let the manager, Mr. Smith know I was bringing my vehicle to them. After 1 week, on May 1st, 2023, I receive a call.... the work was COMPLETED!!!! If there were more stars I'd hit them all!! The staff tells the truth, they honor their promises, they're transparent and they are responsive!!!! Oh, and my bill was under 350.00!!!If you have a German vehicle, I strongly suggest you bring it to German Auto Repair.... Especially if you want, honesty, integrity, professionalism and exceptional mechanics(and staff). I give them 100% rating!!Services: A/C installation & repair

So disappointed in this establishment. They tried to scammed me . I have a Mercedes and I’ve been here a few times for maintenance. I was told that I needed new brake pads and new rotors on the front and back after only asking for breaks pads. I allowed them to do the back breaks only. I paid $800 plus , Then a few months later I went back for a service and was informed that I still needed to get my back breaks replaced, but they wanted $900 plus for the front brake so I decided to go to the Mercedes dealership for repair instead.. I arrived to service department at the Mercedes dealership just to find out that my front breaks were perfectly fine . They took my tires and checked the front and back to be sure . I called German Auto repair and they completely lied to me and tried to cover it up by saying they claimed I needed new tires .. which are brand new . SMHServices: Auto brake repair

Completely disappointed in the outcome of bringing my car to the shop after almost $10,000 in repairs. Although they were able to resolve the issue with the ride airbags and the communication on the main computer, when I picked up my vehicle, there was more issues with the vehicle than when I dropped it off.The AC no longer works, which it was in working condition when I dropped it off.The right height adjustment was working when I brought it to them now it no longer works, the battery continuously dies and I had no issues with it before I dropped it off and I just replace the battery. The interior lights worked before I dropped it off. Now they don't.The vehicle was covered in leaves and more dirty than when I dropped it off. That's something that is completely shocking to me but I guess now I know better. My advice to you is to document/ video your car and it's issues before dropping it off or just take it to a reputable car repair shop. They have no issues charging you for issues that they caused to repair your car.I'm not telling you not to take your car here I'm just telling you to be prepared for whatever the outcome is when you pick up your vehicle. Life if full of disappointments don't let them add to the listBest of luckServices: Electrical repair

PART 2 After picking up my car for battery draining and a 180.00 Diagnostic charge. That they told me that I would have to take it back to the dealership to update codes. I took my car back to auto zone to replace the battery I bought just before I dropped it off to German Auto Repair. The lady said we don't carry this brand of battery. I asked her to look up my purchase on the computer. It showed that I purchased a duralast battery. The brand that I took out of my car was an off brand. The only way that that battery could be different was that German Auto Repair took my duralast battery out of my car and put an off brand battery in its place. I found an interior light on but not lighting up, at this point the battery has not brained again. German Auto Repair diagnostics charge 180.00, pushing a button to turn off a interior light........... priceless To put a button
