I really do wish there was another Barnes and Noble closer than this one on the Westbank. EVERY time I come in the store some worker comes fidgeting near me pretending to tidy things that are already in order. I look no different than anyone else and in fact am usually quite well dressed if I do say so myself. I have been profiled and followed around the store every single time I’ve come in without exception. If this has ever happened to you, you know how demoralizing and humiliating this feels. Considering I’ve been a member with Barnes and Noble since 2010 I’m really getting quite sick of it. 2 stars only because I like Barnes and Noble, just not this location.

Edit: As I was walking out (for my last time in this bookstore), I looked over, and seen that a different lady was working the counter at the coffee shop, and she actually seemed very nice and upbeat. It was two other ladies who had a horrible attitude. Was not the 1st time either, this one shorter (kind of stalky) white lady never smiles, and is just way too professional. But I think part of being professional should come with at least a little bit of friendliness, and a simple smile. So, the search continues for a coffee shop who only hired genuinely upbeat, and friendly workers, who at the very least smile at all customers.I would like to start out with a positive note, before I get into my negatives. I love the atmosphere of Barns and Noble. It is such a nice and beautiful book store. Now for the negative. The ladies who work at the coffee shop. They never smile, and are completely blank, and never the least bit friendly. It just makes me feel horrible going up to the counter to order anything, or ask them for anything, because they just act horrible. Blank expressions. Not upbeat. Act like they do not want to be there. We have spent a lot of money at this coffee shop, but no more. I have had enough of their bad attitudes. This is the last time I come to this place, as much as I love the atmosphere of this bookstore. The hiring magers should really look for employees who are naturally upbeat, and smile, but that just does not seem to be important. Also, they do not know how to make a decent Cappuccino, and can't do a simple request the right way.
