“After a long stimulating day in The French Quarter, this Irish Cultural Museum is the PERFECT spot to sit back, relax, enjoy Irish culture and Irish coffee with or without the coffee! It's a quaint family owned and operated bar with a small yet impactful museum. Take in the images and journeys through the potato famine in Ireland which led to the flight of Irish to America. Also a great spot if you love the courtyards New Orleans is famous for.”
“The Elms was an unbelievable venue to have our wedding at. We were not sure what to fully expect, as the Elms was recommended to us from our planner, but we booked it without even seeing it ourselves (we live up north). When we saw it the day before our wedding, it totally blew us away. The photos are great but cannot do it justice. Everything was perfectly executed and our guests were in awe. We cannot recommend this venue enough!”
“Paradigm gardens was everything we could have dreamed of for our wedding day. Many of our wedding guests said the wedding food was the best wedding food they had ever had. “Husband and I went to The Fillmore for the first time to attend a Boney James concert which was WONDERFUL. (This was a seated concert. Not standing room only). The acoustics in this place are great and the stadium seating toward the back was comfy. The only complaint is there was no bottled water to purchase.”
“BK House was closed due to them cleaning up from a late night event the prior night. One of the staff members did let us in to tour the property ourselves. The staff was very friendly and its a cool house. A very distant ancestor of mine was married to the daughter of the man who had the house built so I was glad they let us come in and look around.”

“I planned my bestie's bachelorette party in nola and decided to book a party with Sharon Hart @ Bourbon Street Balcony Rentals for dinner and a balcony experience (located at Cornet). It was the best decision EVER and ended up being my favorite part of the entire weekend. Sharon decorated our dining area with cute Mardi Gras themed masks and beads. We had a private bartender with an open bar (shout out to bartender Shay who made great drinks and blasted Spice Girls for us) and a delicious/simple buffet served by Mr. Reynard that pleased even our picky eaters of the group—he even went out on Bourbon to snap pics of us up on the balcony. Sharon also has a beads supplier who was able to pre-deliver our beads and throws, so everything was setup and ready to go for our girls. The entire party felt like a once-in-lifetime to have the balcony and to experience nola from that vantage point. It was worth every single penny and more. If you are planning a bachelor or bachelorette party... YOU NEED TO DO THIS!”
“To start, I think my wedding was without a doubt the best night of my life thanks to Latrobe's. To us, the night was perfect. From the champagne skirt upon reception entrance, to the INCREDIBLE food, the staff dancing with everyone on the dance floor, Marte making sure we were always having fun and had a drink in hand, to Rylan at the helm of a second line to end the night. I can't even count how many people came up to us to sing praises of the Latrobe's team, but if I had to guess, it was all 120 of our guests! The Latrobe's team are some of the most wonderful people we've ever had the pleasure of meeting and we will never forget all that they did for us. I truly don't think there is a venue out there that does it better than them. We have had the time of our lives working with these wonderful people to pull off our New Orleans destination wedding and my only wish is that I can do it all over again with them every year. “A nice park with a walking trail, 2 Playgrounds (one is covered) a pond to feed all of the different types of ducks, geese and birds. But NO BREAD. Only cooked rice, seedless grapes, oats and corn. Bread makes them sick. We had fun here.”

“I have had probably about 4-5 of my kids birthday party here. They make it so easy that you do not have to worry about a thing. You show up, drop what you need off in the front, and you just enjoy your kids birthday party without a worry. It is nice how you get the whole place to yourself. There are plenty of inflatables to keep all the kids busy. The room to eat and sing is the perfect size. They also do everything. I highly recommend Candyland if you are looking for a place for your kid's birthday party.”

“If you have an event in Nola you need to do it at the Firehouse Loft! If you're considering other venues, don't. The venue is gorgeous, the owner and staff are super helpful and the nicest people.Preamble: We live outside Louisiana and were coming for celebration of life for my father, New Orleans style, looking for a venue that would suit the vibe we were looking for. Once we found Firehouse we realized quickly we couldn't do it anywhere else.The Venue: Modern, yet historic. The building is a converted firehouse, as the name implies. Sean, the owner, and his team did a great job elevating the space into something modern and conversational. Every detail was done tastefully, from the art, furniture, to general flow for any event size. They typically are tailored to festive, work or personal, events but even as a celebration of life the venue was perfect.The Staff: Sean and his team were super communicative throughout the process, even going above and beyond in the planning stage and throughout the event and after. They have vendors that support any festivity and can accommodate all price points. For reference, we only rented the space and a bartender to serve wine and beer, but they ramp up options from there.I cannot say enough about both the staff and venue. It is hard to fault the space in any form. The only real criticism I could render is that the space does not have an elevator, which in the case of our party was not a problem but could be if attendees have mobility problems. The space is on the second floor so be aware of that. I know overly glowing reviews typically raise an eyebrow or two, but there is almost nothing to fault and I struggled to find one, so there you go. Again, truly appreciate Firehouse Loft and Sean's team for everything they did.”

Beware, there are items being smoked inside (everything but cigarettes) so know that your clothes will smell the next day. Or something to consider if you have asthma.

“Absolutely beautiful venue! Catering people and Bar Tender were professional, friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, my Husband LOVED the cookies, I was partial to the Chicken pasta-really great sauce! Decorations were classy and high quality (not balloons and also not "over the top"). This definitely felt like a first class affair! It's not often I'm thankful for an invite to a party where I knew absolutely no one who was going to be there except my Husband, but this venue definitely made, even me, feel comfortable. Highly recommend!”

“Stayed one night. Nice hotel and great location. We had a 2nd floor balcony and we loved that we could hear the street action and live music from our room. Room was spacious and comfy. They do need to tend to the balcony floor - the wood decking has seen better days, but I would still stay in the exact room again.”

“Pontchartrain is where the annual Lagniappe Cluster of AKC dog shows are held. I have many fond memories from here. That said, it's not overly handicapped friendly. It took them YEARS to put in a ramp that was reasonably safe for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The doors are excruciatingly heavy and hard to open if you are a solo mobility impaired person. They do not unlock the Accessible bathroom-- one must figure out how the push through more heavy doors to reach a bathroom. I do think $5 for a bottle of water is too much. Take a sweater. The AC is cranked down to freezing. This is good when one is running dogs around a ring. Not so good if sitting and watching. Will be back!”
