This store is wonderful! The employee was very friendly as well. They have delicious whole bean coffee, and a grinder if you want the coffee ground.

The store name is very deceiving. We thought this would be a nice shop to possibly pick up some last minute Christmas gifts. When we saw some of the things being sold there, we walked out. Definitely not for Christians or families!

Calm, quiet, leisurely shopping visit. The young woman on staff offered me a free coffee with cream and sugar . News to me, they sell coffee beans and grind them up for you. The coffee was good btw lol. Clean shop. Whimsical feel. Garden accessories, garden flags, occult items, incense, soap, lavatory mist, scented candles, jewelry, crystals, and gemstones. Also an adult novelty section. A true general store. Will return. The cashier rings you up with a ticket book not on a computer. They accept cards.

Susan's was a pleasant surprise. The host was super friendly and helpful and I loved the area the store is located in. Has that old downtown marketplace atmosphere and the store's wares are quite nice. Sort of a boutique and souvenir shop with other essentials too.

I've been a regular of Susan's General Store since '95 (when I first moved to Hammond). I've never lived more than a few blocks away, and visiting the store is always a blast.I shop here for collectables and classic brass and glass pipe gear, and I come here for hand made craft products for gifts. Heck, I think my wedding ring came from Susan's, hah!Susan and her staff are simply the best people... it's very easy to lose yourself in conversation when you're here!Pic: This is me skateboarding next door to Susan's while rolling around the neighborhood.

Love the coffee and candles!!! Great store! The novelty items are a hoot! Susan is also a wonderful person to chat with! One of my fave stores to buy presents for people.

I love this place! This cute little shop is my "go to" place for quick, but really cool birthday and wedding gifts. There's a wide variety of interesting things to choose from and they even offer free gift wrapping. There's even a wide variety of posters, pins, jewelry, home decor, socks with borderline vulgar sayings, gag gifts, flags, all kinds of goodies.

Susan’s is a wonderful throwback shop of the 60’s and 70’s! She’s has a large and an eclectic assortment of items, gizmos and trinkets! One can hang out and poke around for hours in this general store!
