I always use Turbo Tax to complete my taxes but since I was affected by the 2016 flood I chose to use a CPA for my 2016 tax return. When I picked up my return it was not the refund I expected so I reviewed the return and noticed a $700 math error and other miscalculations that affected my refund by thousands of dollars. When I contacted Mr.Smith by email he was very defensive and rude. His response was 'do whatever you want'. He then made excuses as though his calculations were correct, when they were clearly very wrong. If you want to maximize your refund use Turbo Tax, its cheaper and quicker.
