Chris P was a great salesman. Made my purchase quick and easy. The finance manager was great also, got me a deal I was satisfied with and was honest and up front the whole time.

So I usually don’t let things get to me , but after recent events I thought I should be honest about my experience with Ross Downing in Hammond, La! I was recommended here from a friend of a friend, and I know quite a few people who have purchased vehicles from this dealer. I was excited about the experience at first and I thought I got a great deal. Until I recently realized I did not!!! So I bought a vehicle here signed the paper work and all which was a 29k car 10k down was 19k financed out the door! The finance manager, a salesman, and myself looked over all the paperwork together. I signed it even took pictures of the original paper work. Then I later found out that my loan was 25k not 19k like I had signed. So I called the loan company and they tell me the paperwork they gave is completely different with tons of add ons! I call the dealer and they send me the same paperwork as loan company’s, not my original paperwork and with a ton of other stuff that I did not sign, to be added onto the vehicle for a “up charge”! I did not sign them and I know I did not. So I did some research on the papers which is quite funny every single signature is the exact same like it was copied and pasted onto the paper work not a single flaw in them so I already know they forged my signature with a electronic e-sign or something else I signed or something! I didn’t agree or sign those papers nor that agreement. No two signatures are the same , so to see the same exact signature on sheets I never went over with them is a little fishy. So I later found out I could cancel all the ridiculous things they signed me up for like life insurance and some other dumb things you wouldn’t need for a vehicle in my opinion, but I only got about $2500 taken off the loan out of the $5,000!!! I do not recommend Ross Downing in Hammond La, to anyone at all be very cautions with what you sign! If you do go please make sure you get proof of your paperwork! When you read reviews of dealerships make sure you read all of them, they have you make a review after you buy a car of your “great experience” to hide the things that actually go on.
I would also like to know if anyone else has experienced this with them before!?

I bought a pre owned 2020 Chevy Silverado still in factory warranty on July 5th, 2024 so I could accommodate my growing family. I was overall happy with Tim (the salesman) and everyone I dealt with during the initial sale. By day 4, I began noticing a misfire in the engine accompanied by a flashing check engine light. To make a long story short, they made 5 attempts to fix the truck and was unsuccessful and they created every barrier they could to prolong the repair so they could charge my warranty after the 30 days. After 30 days, the problem actually got worse. I took off work 4 days because the truck couldn’t make it or because it was in service. I owned the truck for about 50 days and I got to drive it 6 times. There is a systematic practice within Ross Downing Chevrolet to absolutely screw over their customers. Car dealerships deal off of their profits, I get that, but Ross Downing Chevrolet takes customer service and throws it out of the window. I tried everything I could to meet in the middle to get rid of the issue at hand and the newly issued used car salesman told me “look, you bought a bad truck, so why should we have to eat the cost of that?” Is that a normal practice of Ross Downing Chevrolet to accept that they sold their customers a lemon and then put the blame off on their customer? I believe it is. I’m telling you and warning you right now, if you are even remotely in the market for a Chevrolet, I would go to Bill Hood in Covington or All Star in Baton Rouge. If you choose to ignore my warning, expect to be thoroughly displeased with customer service, absolutely appalled by the lack of competence up and down the chain, and completely disgusted that a business would treat a customer the way THEY ARE going to treat you.

Very good experience with Ross Downing Body Shop. They gave me an estimated date my truck was to be ready. They got it back to my before that date. Friendly and professional from beginning to end. The repairs on my truck are perfect, couldn’t find a flaw. I would recommend Ross Downing to anyone!

Traveled an hour to this dealership after days of speaking with sharmond the used car sales rep to get some final numbers on my trade since the blind appraisal was capped, i was greeted with alexis she was sweet but it did not save my time being wasted, I go to sit in the used car office and read they're pink sign in bold about "how they feel" very passive aggressive but laughable because hey why not. I came to discuss numbers and work a deal but was told the manager is not working or considering anything else. The rep should have advised me of that before I drove over an hour to be told that.

Was lied to about my vehicle. Purchased a used vehicle from Ross Downing. Noticed paint chips in the listing but when I got to the dealership the vehicle did not have the damage. Was told that it was a different vehicle and that the one with the visible damage was sold. Well, months later after a couple of washes the paint began to wear off and I can now see where a paint job was done and was done cheaply The paint is peeling and one auto body shop pointed out the paint on my headlight showing a poor tape job when it got painted. I now have to spend more money to get a better paint job. Thanks!! Especially to the female salesman who lied right to my face after I asked twice about the damage. It is very disheartening to spend that type of money to be deceived.

Working with Lasi and Adam was a great experience. It made the drive and the purchase of the vehicle simple and easy. I couldn't ask for a better experience, especially being from out of town. My wife and I felt very comfortable, like family. Will definitely be returning to purchase future vehicles as long as i get the same duo.
