Stopped here enroute to the airport based on a recommendation from a friend who patronizes them. I bought 2 stuffed chickens and some Brisket Cheese Jalapeño Sausage. We ate the sausage for dinner and it was absolutely delicious and not too hot. I believe the young man who assisted me is Chris. He was so helpful (informed me to check with my airline pertaining to flying with dry ice) and he had my items waiting on me when I returned as I had initially visited the day before. Whenever I am in New Orleans this will be a mandatory stop but we will also be ordering from them. Yummy!!!!

Alligator sausage, staff here very friendly. Have a lot of variety of sausage,chicken and pork.

Beautiful meats and so fresh. Staff is friendly and quick to serve you. Has all my Cajun favorites from back home. Also love the butcher shop atmosphere has a real Cajun home feeling.

Only in Nee Orleans! Love the Gourmet Butcher Block! Quality product, excellent customer service! Especially Iove the whole boneless chickens with shrimp dressing, andouille sausage, all the sausages, seasoned tri tip, frozen crawfish and shrimp corn chowder! And for a reasonable fee they pack it up in a styrofoam shipping box with dry ice so I can fly back home with it!

Went there today to purchase a beef tenderloin. Both the service, and quality of the meat were excellent. They took the time to take the roast back to tie it up after I had asked if they sold twine. They also offered to vacuum seal or wrap it in paper depending on when I was cooking it.They really took the few extra seconds to provide exceptional service!

For years we have been talking about getting a turducken and as a surprise for Mother's Day, ordered one from this shop via gold belly. One hundred percent satisfied. thought it might be too spicy but the spice blend was delicious! added some drippings to gravy from a jar and WOW! Plenty of big slices of turkey/duck/chicken/stuffing, plus leftovers for all. Easy meal. Super easy carving. Everyone was so excited to see inside as I carved it. Don't know how they do this but it had to be quite a bit of work. Packaged with extreme care, it arrived on exact date it was supposed to. Would buy again.

This place used to be incredible, we've been eating their stuff for over 10 years. Our favorite is the shrimp stuffed chickens but the last 10-12 we have bought have had little to no shrimp at all. The one we cooked tonight literally had zero shrimp in it. Sorry to see this happen.
