I visited this store to take advantage of the sale they’re having. When I arrived, the cashier was standing outside, in front of the store smoking a cigarette. I greeted the cashier with a, “Good morning”, as she opened the doors to the store and she didn’t even acknowledge that I was there. That should’ve been enough for me to leave and not do business with this store, but I shopped for my items anyway. I found all of the items from my list aside from two of them; Tide with Downy pods and a Febreeze oil warmer. I noticed that the Tide with Downy pods were behind the register. I waited for someone to assist, as there was no one to be seen at the register. After a short wait, the rude cashier emerged and I asked for the Tide with Downy pods and if they had the Oil warmers behind the register as well. Her reply was, ”If you don’t see’em on da shelf we don got it”. Noticing her attitude right away, I replied, ”I didn’t see the Tide with Downy on the shelf but you have it”. She replied louder this time saying they don’t have it. When it was time to check out, she gave me the wrong total for my items and when I corrected her on her mistake, she still tried to charge me the wrong amount. I left the store and placed my order online for pick up and when it was time for me to pick up my order, it was mysteriously cancelled. I went to another store and had zero issues getting my sale items. I do not know the name of the rude cashier because I didn’t notice a name tag. However, she has dark skin, wears glasses, has dreadlocks in her hair and this particular day, had a beanie on. It costs you nothing to be kind to others. I do not recommend this store.

I was in a hurry and there were a lot of people. One of the employees noticed I was flustered. She asked me if she could help and then took me right to the item I needed. I made it to the wedding on time! Thanks to your helpful and very nice employees!

Restocking in a pandemic environment. These employees are understaffed and definitely underpaid. Bring your own hand sanitizer... ?

Unethical Business Practice/No Sales Flyers/Rude & Unhelpful Cashier: It is an unethical business practice to advertise an item, not have, or plan on having it. People show up for the item, it is not there, your employees lie about it, & refuse to give a rain check for it. All of the above speak poorly about Dollar General. Regards the on sale 4# bag of Sugar: 1st day of the sale I arrived mid morning. You did not have any of the sugar & the cashier said you 'had just sold the last one' but more will be on the truck tonight. I stopped by again in the evening. 'The truck has not been unloaded but the sugar will be out on the shelves in the morning.' 2nd day of the sale: I stopped by earlier in the morning but there was no sugar on the shelves. Cashier: 'Just sold the last one' but more will be on the truck tonight. I stopped by again in the evening. The truck was unloaded but there is no one to stock the shelves. Check back in the morning.' Next morning, still no sugar on the shelves. ~ Sales Flyers: You did not have any, the cashier repeatedly, over several days, kept saying that you did not have any. I shop the sales. If you do not have a sales flyer, I do not shop there.
