I worked here when I was 17 years old back around 2012, the staff at Purpera gave me a chance when others wouldn’t. All these years later I still remember their hospitality and friendliness. They always had super cool inventory and fantastic customer service. Haven’t been back to Louisiana since then but I would highly recommend Purpera and Sons lumber for anyone living in the area

Employees are always ready to help you with a friendly smile and if you can't find something, they will walk you to the aisle and show you. If you have a question about a product, there is always someone there that is knowledgeable about the product.Love Purpera Lumber!

The lumber prices compared to big box stores are definitely comparable if not way more reasonable on certain items, HOWEVER, if you think you're going to be a priority to have your items loaded for you.......not gonna happen. Came here 2 days in a row, and the 1st day I waited 20 minutes to get (2) sheets of plywood, and the 2nd day I waited 35 minutes!!! Time is money, so I guess it'd just be up to you whats better.
