The Geismar post office is only a couple miles from my house.
I've had multiple items shipped from across the country that only took a couple days to get to this P.O., just for it to sit there for three or four days before being delivered.

I think my driver is stealing my packages. Numerous times now, my packages have been "delivered" in/at mailbox while not having been delivered anywhere on my property and no neighbors have come forward with my stuff. The post office has been of no help

One of the nicest employees I’ve ever seen at the post office. I went to the office in Prairieville a lot for my small business and they aren’t rude really but they definitely aren’t nicer and friendly. This place in Geismar was amazing actually welcomed me and thanked me when I left. It seems so simple but it makes a difference. Idk why the reviews are so low, definitely wasn’t my experience.

I ask to received a passport, the lady told me they don’t do it. I’m like this a post office right, she instead tells me all the other post office does them but not them. Straight lied in my face.

Petty thieves work here. Find a different post office. On July 9, 2021 between 10:15 & 10:30 I dropped off a package. She handed me a receipt but I didn’t think much of it & threw it out. I’ve been begging them to reprint the receipt and they refuse to, claiming that the computer is down. They are waiting for it to be 30 days so they are unable to print it for me. This is the second time something similar happens at this location. NO WONDER WHY NO ONE USES GEISMAR POST OFFICE!

I find that when I go in to drop my mail off, the girl working behind the counter is rude to me. She talks to me in a very short way and comes off like she has an attitude or a problem with me. I try not to take it personally but if you are working with the public, a smile and a "good morning " or a "how are you?" would go a long way. The older lady who works there is always very polite and helpful.

They are sometimes friendly and fast to work with when i have to ship packages (which is very frequently) but i went there once while I was in a rush and they opened at 7:30am and I got there at 8:30 am and they claim their register wasn't working and their lobby was locked.

It's a shame to see such low reviews here. I filed two separate help tickets to USPS recently, and the Postmaster of the Geismar PO followed up within a business day (same day for one!) for both. Excellent service, very polite, and we were able to resolve both issues quickly. This is not the first time, either - only the most recent time. Thanks for being a service to the community.

They keep losing any certified mail that I was suppose to receive and 800 number no one answer.

Mail delivery person leaves the mailbox open. Not acceptable especially when it's raining. I'm tired of damaged mail!!!
