What a great place. A small but nice museum, away from the main streets of the wonderful state of Louisiana.Housed in an old post office, you can learn a lot about the city's musical sons.Shaun, the curator, is a Swiss army knife. In addition to his profound knowledge, he mows the lawn and keeps everything alive. Admission is free, please honor a visit and donate generously. It is these hidden treasures along the route that enrich a holiday.Thank you for the wonderful and insightful time.

My husband and I had made arrangements to bring our RV group of 18 people to tour the Delta Music Museum. The museum had even called us three times to make sure we were coming and we verified that we were coming every time they called us. Then, the morning we were suppose to tour the museum, we found out on their website that they were “temporarily closed”! We will NEVER recommend anyone tour this museum.

I loved Ms. Linda she did an excellent job giving us a tour of the museum, and she did an excellent job going into detail about the different artist...She is extremely knowledgeable!! The gift store is closed!!! It really upset me because Mrs. Linda mentioned some books that would normally be in the store, but there was nothing there. I would have loved to purchased some souvenirs in the gift shop area epically after going through an amazing tour, I was disappointed.Tour: 10/10 Gift Shop: Disappointment ?

We called an hour before closing and we were told to come on and we could walk around and look til closing. When we got there the very sweet lady gave us a complete tour and was super kind! Thank you for the southern hospitality!!! We wanted to see this museum and thought we had waited to late and we're going to miss it but she saved the day! Thank you ma'am!

The museum is in the former US Post office in Ferriday, LA. The arcade side was closed. They have memorabilia from multiple blues singers and they show a program. The largest collections are Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart since they're from the area. The tour guides were nice and knowledgeable. Free entrance - donations welcome. There's a gift shop too.
