best boudin that I have had in a while, with green onion and separate rice and a just enough liver to notice. The cracklin was pretty good too. much better than the big common boudin places in and atound Lafayette that will shamlessly sell yesterday's cracklin that has been under a heat lamp until it's hard as a rock.

Maybe an off day, but the marinated pork lunch special was dry, no gravy for rice, cake tasted like an expired box mix. Blah!

Great smoked boudin. Cracklins aren't bad either. Love Mel's. Get about whateva you need in a pinch. They got a little of everything.

Boudin and cracklins are always great. Staff are always friendly. They have a nice selection of smoked meats in the cooler.

We drive past 5+ other boudin locations just to get Mel's!It's spicy. But perfectly spicy. The complainers can go somewhere else!

We camped at Lakeview and went to Mel's to find something to throw in the pot ! I had heard about there ponce but never tried it so we got a small ponce and some sausage. Turned out to be the best ponce I ever ate !! I will definitely be back !

We shop Mel's on a daily basis, it's always a good experience, very clean, their foods great, and service is friendly.. couldn't ask for a better place for a quick in and out.
