A stuffed chicken from Gourmet Butcher Block in Gretna (yes, the famous Turducken place) is one of the most delicious things on earth (whether seafood or broccoli and cheese or any stuffing) so when I saw stuffed chickens advertised at Juneau's, I decided to give it a try. I purchased a crawfish stuffed chicken. They only come frozen. After thawing, I cooked it per the instructions on the package...Their stuffed chickens are pretty disgusting. The crawfish stuffing was like a big gelatinous, flavorless blob. The seasonings suck, the texture sucks and the flavors just don't mesh well like at Gourmet Butcher Block. Also, the stuffed chicken was about $8 more than Gourmet Butcher Block, even though theirs is delicious and Juneau's is disgusting.I'm only giving two stars because the boudin was decent.

Says yall close at 8 right? Showed up at 7:25 to grab some steaks to cook tonight and y’all were closed already after a 30 minute drive to get to y’all. If yall gonna close before yall say yall do then update your hours. Thanks for the waste of gas to get there. Probably will never come again. I’ve bought dozens of steaks from y’all but guess I’ll have to find somewhere else to get them now. UPDATE YOUR HOURS SO NO ONE ELSE HAS THIS EXPERIENCE

Ive been all over Louisiana for work and I can say I liked the boudin balls here and cracklins. I'm a food critic but I know my stuff.I passed this place recently and was reminded of a bad experience I had months back, still had the receipt because I wanted to remember my experience.Again nothing against the food, but don't steal from your customers. I'm a loyal customer, a good customer, don't assume I won't tip and pull a fast one on me.Older white lady checked me out.. The total was $16 and some change.. I already know this is the pad that you select your tip. She not knowing I know this says "let me swipe for you gotta do it from my side"..Thought it was strange.I ask for my receipt and see a slightly surprised look on her face. I get to my car and the total I was charged for was closer $19. The total that rung up is obviously the final total.. Oh so she snuck in a tip from me not knowing I would've tipped therefore stole from me. How many customers was this done to? How many customers do you just add gratuity on top of their total? What if the service was bad, and I didn't want to tip? So we all have to pay taxes and a forced tip now for a bag of boudin balls and cracklins in small town USA?That's call theft and greed. I hope the owner sees this and certainly will say to anyone reading this that will go there. Don't let them swipe your card for you. If you HAVE to go here use cash and don't let the cashier steal from you thinking she's slick! As you can see she didn't itemize the receipt and put as if I paid cash because she knew she would steal from me. As you can see I used a credit card.

Fried shrimp is fantastic. Also the bacon wrapped stuffed pork tenderloin is the best around.

Boudin not worth the price. Operated, Richard's from Walmart is better. Not impressed at all. 35 dollar for 4 lbs

Came next door to get gas, traveling back to Oklahoma.I saw the sign and smelled the fried fish.I got a little bit of everything. Pig tail, fried fish, chicken tender, chicken on a stick, pork crackling and wedges. It was all very delicious. Wish I had purchased more pork cracklin' to go.Overall the food was a 10 for me and the girls helping at the register were helpful. Even customers were friendly in suggesting things to eat.

Nice little meat market; like to stop by for boudin and tasso to take home when we're in town to visit family. Also good boudin balls and cracklins from the counter!

The food is always good. Love the cracklings!! They are perfectly seasoned without being too peppery.

Last couple time I’ve stopped for cracklings I wasn’t able to eat them, way over cooked and dry as sawdust. 1st time was afternoon hours so I figured they weren’t fresh, 2nd time was this morning 8 am and I asked if they were fresh and she said yes. Not even comparable to the Marksville cracklings. Also the store has a musky smell each time I’ve stopped. Will say I won’t be stopping in here anymore. Needs some upgrades on inside and maybe some cooks.

Wow!!! This place has the best food around. No, it's not fine dining, but man it is so so good!!! If you have family or friends down for a visit and they want a taste of Louisiana... This is it!! It's worth whatever drive you have to make to get here. The boudin and cracklings are some of the best I've ever tasted, possibly THE best!!Do yourself a favor... Try this place out.
