MLM is the only company I would use for any work on our house. We used them for a major home remodel project and the project came in with a sensible estimate, and was run on time and at cost estimates. The team stayed on top of the project and had incredible attention to detail. Plus they showed progress and tracked costs along the way in the BuilderTrend app. Thanks Machi and team!

MLM rehabbed for my small business a century old single family residence that had been in a derelict state at the time of purchase. They gutted the building to the studs, added a camelback, and reinforced the foundation. The home is currently being rented out to wonderful tenants who are highly satisfied with the quality of work and comfort of their virtually new home.Exceptional professionalism and quality of work from Machi, Nick, and Anna and the rest of their construction team. Loved the use of BuilderTrend for consistent updates. Though there were a few small hiccups throughout the construction process, at the end of the day they provided a beautiful product and have continued to be present and prompt for any minor issues (replacing breakers for the electric tankless water heater, replacing a defective vanity light, replacing a couple floorboards, etc.) that have arisen post completion.We are so happy with how this project turned out. The folks at MLM are absolutely worth every penny.

I recently contacted MLM about doing a major kitchen gut and renovation/porch addition. I spoke to Wayne, their salesman, on the phone and told him I had $150k budget. He came over to look at my house and was an absolute jerk to me. I guess by the current state of my kitchen (it really needed a lot of work, which is why I was looking for a general contractor) he thought I was lying and didn't have any money. But I had paid my mortgage off and recently done a cash out refi on 80% of my house's value and did indeed have $150k on hand for my project. Wayne was oddly aggressive and confrontational. He kept demanding to know if I had talked to any contractors already (I hadn't, but why would that matter?) and when I said no, he said "So why are you calling us then?" He said "Well, I could just throw a number out, like $200k but what good would that do?" Well, I agree, that would be no good at all, I was actually looking for a professional estimate from a bona fide general contractor who was ready and willing to redo my kitchen! (And I'm now under contract and going to pay about $100k for the job so that was a wildly overblown "guess".) I said "Thanks for your time" and showed him the door. But really he just wasted my time. I'd give MLM zero stars if possible.

MLM was wonderful from start to finish in our kitchen remodel. They were detailed in the planning and construction process, responsive to requests, very communicative throughout, and finished according to schedule. We have done a lot of projects on our 120 year old home, and this was the smoothest project yet! We were very pleased with the finished product. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do remodel or construction work!

If you're a woman wanting a job done and/or looking for a quote under $20K, look elsewhere. I was contacted by Wayne after I inquired about a kitchen renovation. His tone was very condescending throughout the conversation and he seemed uninterested as soon as I said my kitchen was smaller. He eventually told me they don't do renovations for under $20K, that it wouldn't be worth his time. If that's the level of customer service I'd get from working with this group, I'm glad I found out now before I committed to any work.
