Lake Bistineau State Park is a memorable destination known for its forest, open lake waters, and enchanting stand of cypress and tupelo trees. The park offers two boat launches and excellent fishing opportunities. Visitors can explore nearly 10 miles of woodland trails for hiking and biking, or rent a canoe to traverse the 11-mile canoe trails. Picnicking along the lake is popular, with numerous sites equipped with tables, grills, and pavilions for larger groups. The park provides a variety of overnight options, including cabins, campsites, a group camp, and a lodge, ensuring a comfortable stay for all. Guests have praised the park's clean facilities, beautiful views, and friendly staff who go out of their way to accommodate visitors.
Nice & clean showers with soap dispensers that actually had soap in them. Nice sites. Only wish the water wasn’t down 7 feet.

A really great place for large gatherings! We have held an annual retreat here in the cabins, and it's a marvelous space. Comfortable amenities, right on the lake, quiet and serene.
