I have rated them before. The service is amazing. Dr Scott Smith is the only veterinary that I trust my Babies care. I have been following with him since he moved into the area and it has been great.

I learned the my sweet boy, Twinkle Toes had an enlarged heart on 4/15/24. It took about 8 to 9 weeks for my sweet boy to start feeling good and breathing good, after taking his high blood pressure pill and his pain med.
He started doing zoomies and playing with a toy last week around 7/8. His ears started itching and I tried a couple of home remedies and 1 over counter med. for mites. I decided to take my sweet little boy to Dr. Scott on 7/16/24 incase he had an ear infection. Dr. Scott gave me ear ointment and he decided to give my little baby a 20mg shot of steroids for his skin. My sweet boy got so bad with his breathing that I had to rush him to the emergency animal hospital this morning 7/23/24 one week later and he had to be put to sleep.
I called a couple of different vets and Watson animal hospital told me they would have never given a 10 year old kitty with an enlarged heart a shot of steroids.
If I would have known that this shot would have taken my sweet boy's life and made him breath so so hard that he was gasping I would have never let Twinkle Toes get that injection.
How could a vet do this knowing what these shots can do to a kitty with a heart condition?????
I thought I was able to trust this man with my sweet little boy!

I cannot recommend Live Oak Animal Hospital enough! The entire team is exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and compassion they have for animals.

went today to have my dogs ear hematoma drained, I told the lady over the phone I only wanted it drained that I did not want to have surgery, boxers do not do well under anesthesia and if the correct anesthesia isn't used they can pass away. the lady said it was definitely my decision on draining or surgery. so I made the appointment for 10:15, Dr smith entered the room, NEVER looked at my dog and said I will not drain the ear I will only do the surgery, extremely Blount telling me what to do with my dog, when I know that his ear could have been drained. The only reason I can think of is the price difference, $250 vs $750. if my dog needed the surgery I would have gladly paid it and more, however if he was that rude to me, I can only assume he would be ugly to my dog. we left and have an appointment with another vet. Will never go back again.

Everyone is so nice and so patient, even with my crazy dog. Dr. Smith listened to all of my concerns and validated them. We are actually switching from another vet that we also love for the convenience of the location and exceptional care we received the moment we walked through the door.

Dr Scott and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. My German Shepherd isn’t a big people dog. But he likes goin to live oak to see them. They are also very caring and checked on my dog every day after his accident.

Dr. Scott & the other female doctor (I forgot her name!) were very nice & sensitive to my lil hamster Lola. They made sure she was comfortable before she passed away & went to heaven. They helped her cross the rainbow bridge & let me say goodbye ❤️. I have always used Dr. Scott for my cats & dog and he has always been so kind with them. I will always recommend Dr. Scott to anyone looking for a vet that cares. He’s always informative, honest, caring, and treats animals the way anyone would want theirs treated at the vet ! I 100% recommend them
