“Capital City Granite helped me when I really needed it. I wanted to upgrade my cooktop, which required enlarging the existing granite cutout. I called MANY granite installers in Baton Rouge, and most said they wouldn't help me unless they were the original installers of the granite while the rest either wanted an exorbitant amount or were too busy. The company that originally installed my granite told me multiple times they'd see if someone was available and would call me back. Guess what? No call back. Capital City Granite agreed to do my small job for a reasonable fee AND scheduled the job for just a couple of days after I contacted them! “It’s your standard discount building supply warehouse. Have gotten quite a few good deals here on materials that in general have held up and not shown to be a “budget buy”. Staff is generally on point and helpful too.”

“I made a large purchase with them in 2021 for my new home. Included in that purchase was a very expensive BlueStar range. I am now having problems with it and they will not service BlueStar appliances. They claim to service them but do not. Beware of buying anything from them.

*Edit - I was contacted after my initial review and they agreed to send a technician to my home. He was able to diagnose and repair the problem. Additionally, he was able to fix the convection fan which never worked well from the beginning. My wife attempted several times to get them out in the past to fix the fan but was told that they do not service BlueStar. We now know they do, you just need to talk to the right person. Unfortunately we are now past the warranty date so it remains to be known what will happen with that.

Update 5/14/24 - As of now we have not been charged for anything. Which in my estimation is the correct thing because if we would not have originally been told they do not service BlueStar, it would have been fixed during the warranty period. In short, it took writing a negative review but once I did they quickly responded and they did the good and right thing. Thank you Chris”
