The lumber I purchased was $980.00 less than Box Store. You get fewer defects as well. The Staff is so amazing! Nicest people ever. I went back this morning for 400 sheets of OSB. Again, saved thousands here! They greet you like a cousin they haven’t seen in years every time you come in. I’m in the process of building my house. I’m going to get all my material here. When someone told me they were less expensive, I did not believe him. Go in and see for yourself.

BUYER BEWARE... On December 30th we spoke to the manager at the Gulfport store about buying and holding our lumber before the prices spiked in 2022. He agreed that we could pay for the sticks and sheeting that day and that they could store and hold them for delivery until we were ready. We wrote a check the same day (Dec. 30th) for over $27,000. We told them we would let him know when we were ready for delivery, shook hands, and left. The check cleared the bank within 5 days. We have been back to the same store multiple times since then for concrete, rebar, blocks, and headers and never once been questioned about when we were going to have our lumber delivered. We called on 3/19 to schedule our lumber be delivered on 3/28 and they acted like they didn't know a thing about our order. The said they would have the manager call us when he got in. However, it took until my husband went in the store on 3/23 to finally find him and talk to him about the issue. We had plans to get as many building supplies as possible from them including roofing - but now... looks like we have to find another company to build our house with.

When I placed an order for lumber to build an entertainment center, I was told they would call prior to delivery and the driver would have either a helper or forklift to unload the truck. The driver showed up without a prior phone call and without a helper or forklift. Luckily I was home at the time and able to help unload. The bigger issue was that it was delivered in the rain with the plywood sheets partially covered and the remaining lumber completely exposed and drenched. While unloading the plywood I noticed 2 issues. One, I had ordered the wrong size luan and two, they delivered the incorrect 3/4” plywood, but to Dufrene’s credit, they swapped it all out for the correct lumber without any questions or issues, which I was grateful for. When the replacement wood was delivered, the straps had been placed on top the luan and tightened crushing the edges of the luan. I figured I’d work around it but after unloading the luan, I noticed 3 sheets had holes completely through the middle and one had previously been cut, so it was only 3x8 instead of 4x8. The whole ordeal shows a lack of care and attention on their part. In the end I kept the plywood, sent all the luan back and purchased it somewhere else and was forced to find room to stack the wet wood to dry prior to use.

The need to get one of their workers off the fork lift took him 25 min to load 2 pallets of shingles and did not bother helping with the rest of the order oh not to mention he never once put that coffee cup down the entire time please dufrenes yall are a great company please help his fellow workers

Always have the materials I need when no one else has them. Had the best customer experience from Sammi Matherne. She got everything hooked up and delivered to me on the same day I needed it. Really recommend especially if you’re a self employed person like myself in carpentry.
