Incredibly kind staff, I adopted from a local shelter that has a program to give free food etc to start out. They were extremely knowledgeable and walked me through the process and the details of each item I chose. They even gave me free samples so very impressed, I’ll definitely be shopping here again!

We purchased our chinchilla from Adventure Pets in 2009 and she's still with us today! Wonderful customer services knowledgable staff. They truly care about their customers AND their animals! Highly recommend!

The Mandeville location is a bit bigger and has a larger selection. if you need a specialty item, it would probably be better to go to the Mandeville location. However, the workers at the Covington location make this one of the most pleasant places I have ever shopped. It's definitely more expensive than Petsmart, but they have things that you can't find anywhere else. They also seem to give better advice than my vet. This is a really great little custom pet store. If you want something special for your pet, you'll find it here before one of the big box stores.

Great shop for everything you need to care for your fur babies. Staff is friendly and has great customer service. Store manager Nicole is super knowledgeable about pet nutrition. I feed my dogs freeze dried raw food and they have a great selection.

This review should be for the Adventure Pets in Mandeville, not Covington. This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at any business!! My son and I were visiting Adventure Pets in Mandeville and noticed the enclosures were very small and unkept. The Beta fish were in greenish colored water and ammonia build up was at the bottom. A very large rabbit was in an extremely small enclosure, next to an enclosure that was twice as big with rabbit bedding in it where the rabbit could have gone, but it was empty. I viewed the bearded dragon enclosure and was very sad to see no water and no food, this was also the same in other animal enclosures. They were small dragons and they wouldn't go through a whole bowl of greens and water in a day. I said something to an employee (and I said it in a calm, even tone) who said they must have eaten it all. the water and food dish had a black residue at the bottom that looked like a moldy consistency. When the employee went to get the water dish he said, "Well move so I can get the dish out!". I said to him, "That wasn't very nice. Y'all don't keep your enclosures very clean, his response was "well then walk right out the front door". He was very disrespectful. On our way out the door, I saw an older man who I thought might be the owner, as I am now learning, he is the owner's husband...others have complained about him. I said something to him about the employee being rude and what he said to us and the tanks being a mess. He told us to show him. We went back there with him and the young guy who got the water. Started saying nasty things to my son and IN FRONT OF THE OWNER! The employee then asked my son to step outside to which my son replied, "I'll step outside with you!" Then the employee said, "Get out of my face" My son wasn't even standing close to the employee, my son was next to me and behind the owner 5-6 feet from the employee. The owner stood there the entire time and said nothing to his employee about threatening his customers! I was completely appalled!! I signed up for Yelp just so I could report this to others! I plan to take it to the BBB. I could not believe the owner stood for this sort of behavior and talk to his customers!

LOVE this place and their products. We like to feed our dogs a lot of raw freeze dried and natural products. This is the place to go! The store manager, Nicole, is the absolute best. She’s friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the products. Definitely recommend!!

Great pet store. We purchased two Red-Footed tortoises and a Flop-Eared bunny. We bring our rabbit, Oliver, back to the store for toenail trims. Friendly staff, clean store, healthy animals. Thanks from all of our pet family!

THIS is why you patronize locally owned businesses!!!I have a new puppy and the food his breeder wants me to get is available at Adventure Pets, but it was nearly closing time. I called and asked if I were a couple of minutes late, could they possibly wait? Very pleasant young lady assured me she would. Then I got lost and my phone’s GPS wouldn’t work, so I called to apologize. Same pleasant young lady offered to pick up the items I needed and meet me with them!!!! Nicole, you’re the BEST!!! Kumo and I thank you!
