Friendly, quick service. However, beware of the BS they say. They tell you they are in partnership with CarMax, when in reality that is far from true. CarMax is a competitor, not a partner, confirmed by CarMax. Fast talking salespeople...good luck keeping up. Just makes me wonder what I fell for. Otherwise the car was great, the price was fair, ready to see when I got there, and flexibility with timing on the signing over of a trade in title. All done within 2-3 hours all in all.

Michael Mosher is, as always, a great guy to work with! He is very knowledgeable and caring that I got what I wanted. He wants client retention over the bottom dollar and that’s obvious. What a refreshing change to the average car sales experience. He deserves a raise! ?

I brought my 21 4Runner in for an oil change on Friday August 23 2024. I drove it straight home and parked it in my garage. We didn’t use the vehicle all weekend and when I got back in it on Monday morning to go to work, I noticed a puddle of oil on my garage floor. I opened the hood and noticed there was oil all over the plastics in the engine bay. I called Toyota and they told me to bring it in and they would inspect it and take care of it. I was there for 45 minutes. When the tech drove my vehicle around, he told me that the drain plug was overtightened and it damaged the crush washer, causing the leak. He didn’t have a reason for the oil being all on the plastics above the engine other than someone may have “spilled a little”. All they did to clean up the mess was smear it around to make it look even across the plastics. No offer to physically wash the engine bay at all to get rid of the spilled oil. I would expect this type of service from one of those 5 minute oil change places, but not at a dealership. Needless to say, my vehicle will not be going back there and I’ll be changing my own oil from now on.

Nice pleasant buying experience. Will definitely consider buying from Northshore Toyota in the future. Thanks to Nick B. for making the process a little more enjoyable!

I purchased my 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in November of 2022. I’ve had nothing but problems with the truck and the service department has been no help. The truck has a known alignment issues and my tires are wearing unevenly. Toyota started a national campaign to remedy the problem but Northshore Toyota said my tires are normal wear and all they did was just the alignment when I needed new tires as well. NorthShore Toyota just told me there is nothing they can do and contact Toyota directly. After contacting and talking with Toyota it was nothing but a run around saying that I should talk to my dealer. (My tires are still wearing out in the outside and the front passenger tire is bald on the outside).
I recently brought in my truck for oil change, regular service and also to get the driver seat plastic piece that has the controls to adjust the seat fixed because it was cracked (another known defect in the tundra). I had to leave my truck there for nearly two weeks because I went out of town. When I picked up my truck the plastic piece was not replaced (invoice said it was fixed) when I went back and talked the the lady that was helping me and she said “oh sorry, it was back ordered and we will call you when it comes in.” I called again today to see if the part was in and their parts department said that there wasn’t anything ordered for my truck. So, she just totally lied to my face. I was also calling because my Check engine light came on today with only 27,750 miles. Their service lady told me that I would be charged $150 to run a diagnostic on truck to see what the issue is. Why would I have to pay that when my truck is under warranty?
It’s been nothing but a pain to deal with NorthShore Toyota and Toyota in general. Don’t buy a Tundra and don’t buy from NORTHSHORE TOYOTA!!!!

Usually, I don’t have a problem with this dealer while servicing my car, but I had some issues yesterday.
After my car was serviced, I attempted to pay. The lady at the desk informed me that I would not be able to pay in a rather snappy/aggressive manner. I asked why many times and what method of payment would be suitable, but it felt like she kept beating around the bush.
After 30 minutes of conversation and a call to the IT department (which in contrast, was very nice to me), I was finally informed that I needed a physical credit card because the systems were down (I had not received my new CC in the mail yet, but I had it available on apple wallet, which doesn’t show you all of the card’s details).
I ended up coming in the following day to pay, and her attitude still persisted

Kendall Boyd is hands down the best salesman the dealership has. He made the whole car buying experience fun, simple, and easy. He answered all of our questions or found someone who could answer them. Kind, courteous and professional.

About a month after we spent 30k on a certified pre owned Rav4 with very few miles, a crack developed on the windshield. There was no impact or incident that caused the crack. It is apparently due to something like a manufacture defect or improper installation, or perhaps a pre existing crack that was missed on inspection. They have refused to do anything about it. Regardless of the warranty, if you sell something thats supposed to be like new, it should not be having a problem like that after so few miles.
Very unhappy with their unwillingness to stand behind the vehicle they sold me, especially given that it was a certified vehicle. If this were my business, I would do a little more to ensure a happy customer after such a large purchase.
