I’m not one to bash or post negative comments so I won’t. With that being said, after moving to the northshore, I couldn’t seem to find a vet that I trusted with my precious fur babies. Last Friday, Franklin was in heavy breathing distress. I rushed him into the vet that I WAS using. Before doing even one test, she told me he probably had a tumor on his liver. She then began tests and gave him medications, all totalling $515 (there was no tumor). I left with a terrible feeling that I was being taken advantage of. I prayed and prayed for God’s discernment. I was led to another vet, and from the moment we met this morning, I knew he was in the right hands. Her name is Dr. Katie at The Maher Animal Hospital in Covington. Her ability to explain in-depth and in layman’s terms all the tests and bloodwork further confirmed that I was in the right place. I would highly recommend her and this place to all pet owners. Franklin is on the right track. And Princess will be meeting Dr. Katie soon for her checkup!!!

Very nice team in this hospital. All of them are very friendly and helpful. My dog's is being treated here for years and we all have been very happy with the vet. The groomer's very good with my little Pom.

Since my first visit with Dr Rusty Maher, I felt at ease, confident that he would advise me appropriately in the care of my senior dogs. I had the experience at another clinic in the past of having medications and procedures recommended that my boys did not need.
Dr Katie Maher is nothing short of amazing. My Schnauzer, Remy, at age 14, became very sick over the course of several months. I was preparing myself and my kids for the end when I took him in to see Dr Katie. She diagnosed him in 10 minutes with a food allergy and fungal and bacterial skin infections. He was treated with antibiotics and an anti-fungal as well as Cytopoint injections. His diet was changed and was strictly adhered to. Withing just a few days, his fur started growing back and he began acting like his old walk-loving self. Remy is now 16 and you would never guess his age! He is feisty and is clearly feeling great!

He continues to do well and I am so very grateful to Maher Animal Hospital

The entire staff here is incredible. I was so grateful they were able to see my kitty Tripp this weekend. He was very sick with an extremely low temp and literally at death's door. The care, concern and committment they have saved him. I will never forget.

This is the best vet I have ever been to. Through and through. They never fail to squeeze me in on any given day. The way they price things almost doesn't seem real (in a great way) and most importantly, they listen. Both Dr Maher and Dr Holland are the most kind people you could ever have to take care of your pets. If you are new to the area or just looking to switch vets you absolutely will not regret Maher Animal Hospital.

Moving out of state and having to find a vet you can trust woth your babies is a tall order to fill. Dr. Maher did that! She will be our forever vet. Thank you for loving our babies as much as we do.

Leave my my dog here when i go on vacation 15 a day she is always happy to come home but she happy there also
