Stay away. Returned my clock after over 3 years in pieces/ zip lock bags, because I finally ran out of patience, and had to get a lawyer involved. Now I’m missing parts from my antique clock that the owner says he doesn’t have. Always an excuse. Now that I’m reading these reviews, I see this to be a common theme. I also notice how much time the owner spends on debating bad reviews. Maybe if he were actually repairing clocks instead of defending his actions, I would have only had to wait the 3 months he originally estimated the repair to take. He actually took the time to completely dismantle my clock’s movement. Already reported to the BBB.He (Mike the owner/ son is also Mike?) is a liar and is teaching his son his practices. I thought once I complained, he would start to lie. Once I got a lawyer (why spend more on my clock?), I was sure he would give nothing but excuses and lies…, and blames everyone for his incompetence. He will take extreme measures to make anyone dissatisfied to seem invalid, even calling people patient enough to wait 3 years liars? I paid him 100 dollars for him to vandalize a family treasure. He is a charlatan and I have video proof from my last visit. Everything he says in his reply is/ will be a lie. If he uses any more lies, I will have him for sure. Shame on your sorry self, “sir”.

First and foremost, I came in with my family’s Howard Miller Grandfather Clock. It has been in my family for over a decade and for the last 3 or so years, it hasn’t been working. I figured it was time to do something about it and was hesitant to have someone else’s hands on it. Though I’m glad to say I brought it in and they treated it like it was the most precious thing in the world! They took their time and analyzed everything over a few weeks. After they fixed it. I came in to finish my transaction. They are VERY good with their pricing. The fact that I didn’t have to give an arm and a leg was the best feeling in the world. Business etiquette on point and when it comes to clocks and their batteries. They got it!

Had my tall case grandfather clock repaired by these guys. The price was very respectable. The father and son were very professional and the experience was absolutely wonderful.

Had my watch battery changed. The price was reasonable. I love this business and will take my batteries here from now on!

The best watch PROFESSIONALS in Northshore area, period. They worked on a very sentimental watch of mine and had it up and running within a reasonable time period annnnnnd a great price!! Didn’t try to sell me anything I did not need. Can’t say enough great things about this company.-PS—I rarely leave reviews but this place deserves more than 5 stars. To the guys at Alpine, if y’all read this THANK YALL SO MUCH for helping me.

Brought in a 25+ year old watch that has a lot of sentimental value but was no longer working. Parts to fix it weren't available. But we were able to get a similar donor watch and Alpine got my watch back up and running. Thank you!

I wish I would have read these reviews prior to visiting this business. There's a reason this establishment has received so many poor reviews. Our experience:I brought a watch in for resizing (removing a few links). The owner was shady from the start and didn't seem to know what he was talking about. His son was very nice, professional, knowledgeable and did the work quickly, however, once the links were removed (about 3 minutes) and it was time to pay, the son came to us and said it would be $21. The father/owner came over abruptly, interrupted his son, took the watch and said the price would be $36...with no explanation. It was the weirdest thing and very awkward (for the son as well...I felt bad for him). I hate to think this, but we were a minority couple and I believe he may have increased the price due to racism. I have never felt like that or thought that about any other business, but that is how it felt. They may dispute this review or say this must be a competitor, but I assure you that this review is from a real (albeit former) customer. Regardless, we will not be taking any more of our future business to this establishment.

Horrible service. Ridiculously overpriced. After 4 months they couldn’t find my clock. Luckily I save the deposit receipt. Go anywhere but here.

Took my watch to Alpine, after another jewelry store said they were unable to fix it. Alpine was able to fix my watch, quickly and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Very satisfied with their work. I will be back and I highly recommend them to others.

I had my wall clock, that I inherited from my great grandmother, repaired at Alpine. The young man at the counter, Michael, was very helpful and instructed me on all the workings of the clock. He wanted to make sure I knew how to operate the clock so I would not not have any problems once I got it home. I am happy to say the clock is running magnificently and I am enjoying it very much. Thank you Alpine for doing such a great job repairing my great grandmothers clock. It reminds me of her every time I heard the chimes play.

My co-worker brought her Michael Kors watch in to have the battery replaced and they broke it. They are not knowledgeable. I don't know how they stay in business. Beware. They don't know what they're doing.

Do not take anything that is valuable to you to this place. I don’t usually waste my time leaving reviews but this place was horrible. Not only could they not give you any wild guess at a range of time that your repair would be finished, they are scam artists. I took in an antique watch to have the crystal replaced. That’s it! The watch ran fine. They called back a month later to tell me that if I wanted my $300 watch to run, that it would cost me $350. After losing my mind, the watch miraculously works despite having to pay over $100 for a replacement crystal. These guys are horrible.
