Very pleasant and helpful staff. As far as a hospital say this was as good as you can get. The only improvement would maybe be a little in the food. No bread or dessert was brought but a couple times in a two week stay.

I have waited for some time to write this review. It was 2021, I got hauled into the ER at 2:00 AM. Thought I might be having a heart attack. Ambulance driver gave me a shot of nitro. (My personal Doctor told me later that this is what saved me). The young ER Doctor was apparently not happy to be there. When I asked how he was doing, his reply was, "I'm in Coushatta Louisiana at night, living the dream, with disdain in his voice. Well he was stuck on he having GERD, although I had welps all over me. What was actually happening was anaphylactic shock. The doctor would have let me die, but the ambulance driver did the right thing. I'd rather die on the way to a good hospital then die here.

It was horrible! It was the dirtiest nasties hospital I've ever seen. Blood on iv pump, gr-do on bed railing, bathroom never cleaned once while I was there(2nights). The food was disgusting, plus the attitude of kitchen help was down right rude! I had septic pneumonia an wanted iced tea an crackers. Not available after 5pm. No pillows!!!!

All I can say about the ER at Willis Knighton in Coushatta, LA is the receptionist is nice and did her job. The same can't be said for the triage nursenor the woman that checked my husband out. Used to when a doctor entered ur room at an ER they introduced themselves by saying "I'm Dr. So&So" and then asked u what was going on. We have no idea what the name of the woman that check my husband out was or what position she held, she cud have been the janitor for all we know. Now that im thinking about it, I wonder if she wasn't the janitor bcuz her beside manner wasn't just bad it was non-existent. My husband had a swollen cheek from a tooth that started bothering him yesterday. After the woman came into the exam room she didn't introduce herself or state her position she just began to inform of us that she had no dental training and she proceed to talk down to us. We know that she had no dental training and bcuz it was a simple diagnosis, the treatment was simple as well, antibiotics then follow up with a dentist, I'm wondering if she had n e common sense either. She must not have been to a dentist since COVID-19 hit, bcuz if she had she wud know that it takes months to get into a dentist bcuz they r so backed up and since she has had medical training, or at least I hope she has had, she knows that a person can't wait months with an infected tooth that simply needs an antibiotic bcuz it can turn into an abscess and travel to ur brain, so the antibiotics are needed ASAP. After she patronized us and filled us in about not being a dentist she quickly glanced at his big toe that needed attention as well, as it was smashed and is very swollen and very painful. The situation with his toe is serious as he has high sugar. There is no way she cud have assessed his toe as quickly as she glanced at it. She didn't even bother to bend over, so I know she didn't assess it properly. To the triage nurse's credit she did follow protocol and asked what his pain was on 1 to 10 scale but I doubt she even charted his response. The woman that checked him out whether she was a nurse practitioner, janitor or who knows what she was, she wasn't the Dr. bcuz the Dr.'s name on the prescription of antibiotics that he FINALLY got was a man's name. N E way she didn't even ask if he was in pain and she didn't ask bcuz she didn't care. It wudnt have mattered if his pain was 20 on a scale from 1 to 10 she wudnt have given him n e thing bcuz she didn't want to give him the antibiotics and she did not hesitate to let us know. We went to the ER bcuz our pcp wud not c him even tho we arrived an hour and a half b4 closing and they take walk-ins, so we went to ER bcuz no dentist r open at 5pm and even if they were open it takes months to get an appointment, not to mention dentist r not covered by our insurance. The woman that checked my husband out acted like we committed a crime by going to the ER for antibiotics for a tooth instead of a dentist, but the last time I checked dentist don't have emergency rooms. N E way that was our first and last experience with the hospital in Coushatta, LA. We cud have went to a veterinarian clinic and got treat more like humans than that hospital treated us. I don't recommend that ER at all. The nurse that gave him an antibiotic shot was hateful, he barely got n e antibiotics to take home and he will have another sleepless night bcuz he will be up hurting all night as he was not offered n e help at either our primary care physician's office nor the ER. We drove for almost an hour and did not accomplish n e thing but being treated like they had much better things to do other than their job, which is helping patients. So, if ur reading reviews bcuz ur looking for a Dr. or an ER, I DO NOT recommend the ER at Willis Knighton in Coushatta, LA. Staff is very unprofessional, not caring or compassionate at all and the same can be said for Dr. Bell's office and his staff. I wud have rated both places as a 0 if that

Quack! All I can say. Dr Chico admitted my father for three days for symptoms he been complaining of for a year to this man. 3 days of impatient tests and completely missed doing a cardiac work up Sent him home with no plan and never follows up. Told him he was healthy as a horse. Well my dad suffered a “widow makers” heart attack last week with a 100% occluded LAD (12% survivors rate) this has been getting worse all year and still no cardiac. My father came minutes of dying because of the man’s incompetence. My dads feelings are so hurt because he put all his faith in this man and he dropped the ball in every way Fair warning. If you have elderly parent with co-morbidities, DO NOT LET THIS MAN TREAT THEM! Read the rest of his reviews every where and you will see. He going to kill someone if he hasn’t already. I know so many people with these complaints. This, that he missed…. Malpractice…THANK God for the staff of doctors at WK Pierrmont!!!

Doctors are awesome if you can get past some of the nasty attitudes at the front counter/ registration desks. I know people have bad days but COME ON you can almost count on a nasty attitude here

I brought in my 17 month old in tonight. The nurses were so sweet and the doctor was informative and nice. The whole staff treated us very well. But what stood out the most was the gard/cop that walked me and my baby to my car at 2:30 am. He stood in the parking lot while I buckled her in and waited until I completely backed out before going back in the building. Thank you sir. That really meant a lot to me.
