I bought the crawfish étouffée, and once warmed up the food the smell was absolutely rancid. Stank up our whole kitchen for hours. It smelled so awful that even our dog was hiding from it. Would not recommend, the packaging looks nice but the quality is not there.

I was born in New Orleans and am quite familiar with French cooking and "Cajun" foods. I'm very sorry to state your Crawfish Etouffee was inedible. The crawfish were almost invisible to the eye and the rice-sauce was smelly and also inedible. After one bite I threw the entire dish away and, not having opened it yet, will do so with your Shrimp Etouffee I also purchased.Sincerely, Joseph Rodriguez

Let's put applesauce in our Boudin. Said no Cajun ever. The worst thing I ever bought off the shelf of a grocery store. The sausage ain't much better. I'll travel from Dallas to Lafayette to buy real Cajun food. When I was growing up, Richard's sausage was in everyone's fridg.savois or rabideauxs is the best sausage.e

This company's smoked sausage is so disgusting it just about messed up the gumbo I cooked. It had large chunks of fat combined with tough dry peices of meat..

My first time buying this brand and looking at the reviews, I understand why they made the mistake of a 300 year expiration date.

Bought the gumbo/shrimp/crabmeat tv dinner. On the box cover shrimp looked like a good size, worth a couple of bites...Inside package the shrimp were those "dried"variety you see hanging in stores.."tiny" misrepresentations of shrimp...I felt ripped-off...An obvious fraud..

This was the first time trying the Seafood Gumbo. Unfortunately, it went down the garbage disposal. Neither my husband (who eats most anything) were able to tolerate the nasty taste of this sauce. We also bought and tried the Crawfish Etouffee at the same time and found it's taste flavorful and liked it's taste yet in all honesty, the Seafood Gumbo was totally without taste, the sauce was brown and unappetizing and we felt that we would never invest our money in these products again.

If I could rate the “Shrimp & Crab Stew” with negative stars I would. The box is beautifully designed with fluffy white rice and shrimp. However, that is not at all what is in the packaging. The rice is under cooked, bits and pieces of shrimp, with no crab meat in the entire dish. But I did find a piece of crab shell. Disappointed is an understatement. I brought two box’s of this masked mush disguised ask Cajun. I definitely would like a refund. You can keep the apologies.

When i saw the Richard's Cajun Favorites dinners in my local WalMart in Texas, I got excited thinking I had an easy source for the food I miss most after moving from South Louisiana. To call their products Cajun Food is an insult to all Cajuns. I don't think I've ever had worse food, much less something claiming to be Cajun that the Richard's Frozen Dinners. Please don't view any of their products as Cajun food.

I'm from Louisiana and I'm a bit disappointed in the Frozen Shrimp & Okra Gumbo. The picture on the packaging is far from what's inside. Also found shrimp shells in my meal. Flavor was okay, but not at all what I expected from y'all. I've been purchasing y'all's sausage for many years and was excited when I came across your frozen dinners. I'll keep the photes to myself, just wanted to say....,

When I first started buying Richards sausage it was so good but this last package was horrendous. It had a weird smell when cooking (not ruined just weird) it was extremely greasy, a weird texture (crumbly with huge chunks of fat, and so salty that we couldn't eat it. This last purchase was a waste of $15. I have also bought Richards boudin and I learned real fast to just pay more for DJs.

I don’t quite understand a Milwaukee company disguised as a Cajun company, but oh, well... I see that some of their operations are actually in Louisiana, which is a good thing. That being said, I want to add that I really enjoy the taste of Richard’s smoked sausage. Find it delicious. Someone earlier thought the casings are too tough. I like them, because I enjoy that little “snap” that they make when they are crispy. Thumbs up to Richard’s. ?

Been eating your products for years now but since inflation of prices has started your products are obviously more expensive but that's not my issue the issue it the quality has gone way down since the price hike the rice is now hard and the crawfish in the maque choux are so tiny they are non existing.. not like it used to be at all.. change your box picture to reflect the product...its falsely advertising... you have lost a long time loyal customer....tomorrow i plan to make rice and maque choux without the crawfish!. You've inspired me to do this for the first time ever... when i saw this tiny lil crawfish ? i said to myself.. well I'm just eating corn and rice now! But paying a top dollar crawfish price for it!I will never again pay for this productI hope the change was worth it to you... but you can no longer expect me to believe that its"As cajun as it gets"....i hope more people save their money instead of gambling with your products
