I had a few questions about opening up an account and from her first answering the phone with such a pleasant demeanor she set the mood for such an amazing conversation. It feels good to know that there are still people in the World who go the extra mile & have genuine concern for others. During these unforeseen circumstances, in which we are all experiencing changes in our daily lives, having to worry about an issue relative to banking can honestly make one throw in the towel. I had a situation at Woodforest, and had honestly made it to the point of potentially losing everything due to an error/ miscommunication with regards to a transaction. I called the 800 number multiple times, and it seemed as though each person I spoke to had a different solution, or inadequate information. Finally I made a final attempt to understand 1. what had occurred? and 2. how we could resolve any miscommunication/ error that created this situation? I googled my branch # and honestly had figured that I'd just be re-routed to the same people at the same 800# who had honestly not helped me at all. The phone was answered in about 2 rings and a pleasant voice was on the other end. I was asked "how can I be of service today?" & from there this young lady listened to me vent for about 7-10 mins. Not once did she interrupt me, and I could tell that she was taking notes during the vital points of my rant because she asked me several times to repeat the information in order to have a clear, concise understanding of the scenario. She placed me on a hold (3-5 mins), came back to the phone & explained in detail what had happened, how it happened, what I needed to provide to allow the bank to complete it's due diligence research & she assured me that she would reach out to me the following morning, which she did. The situation took about 2 weeks to complete (through no fault of anyone-procedure & protocols of banking) and on the day when this issue had been resolved, she called me to let me know that everything had been completed & asked how could she assist in me taking care of what got us to this point in the 1st place? I have never really experienced customer service of this magnitude at a financial institution, and I have had bank accounts since the age of 18 (I'm much older now lol) I felt that one way or another that at some point this situation would have been resolved, however I know that the branch manager in this case (Lakisha-not sure of her surrogate name) made certain that the proper officials, in the right department were alerted and were on it as quickly & efficiently as possible. I'm not a "review person" except for maybe a few times in life when things were just absolutely horrible, but i wanted people to know, whether it be consumers, or colleagues, that some good is still around & being a customer at this branch probably kept me a customer at this bank. I've worked about 14 hours today, please excuse any typo or grammatical errors.
