Can't believe I'm saying this: CLEANEST BATHROOM I've probably ever been to in any store. It smelled like bleach and even had free feminine products available.

This place is a joke. Nothing is labeled, it's impossible to get help with even the smallest thing. "Try to find someone who works in this department" is the best they can do. Do not go here if you want to complete your project. I waited 20 minutes in lumber, talked to three different people, called them on the phone , and had two people call over the intercom and when someone came I was told "we can help you in 15 minutes". This store puts the shame the lax attitude at the lowes on Elysian. Not worth the drive.

I think the staff at this location can be helpful at times. Unfortunately the inventory in some areas is no well kept. I went into the store looking for some hardware and when I got the the section it was a total mess. None of the nuts or bolts were in the correct drawers. It looks as if somebody has just thrown them Into the drawers with no regard for their proper placement. This has been an ongoing issue for some time but it only seems to get worse every time I go after searching through each drawer I gave up. It seems the inventory has not been kept up with and even if it was it still wouldn't be in the correct location.

I drive all the way out here to buy something advertised on their website for $88 and it's $178 here. I was told there Is no recourse other than emailing their customer service. What a waste of time.

Vanessa was very very nice and professional with me. She made my night so much better because of her act of kindness. She didn’t even know she was helping a military member. She went above and beyond for me.What a leader.Thank you Vanessa.

After spending $15,000 dollars in Home Depot, i find out Home Depot does not care about me. I went to back to get measured for doors that I wanted the store to install. Well after 2 months, still no doors. For starters they sent a young man to my home for measurements. I invited him in and he started asking questions about all the paintings in my home. I told him I don't paint, they are just purchases. He continued to tell me about his painting hobby. After 5 minutes of that, I ask him, "aren't you hear to measure my doors?" I had just got off work and was tired and needed to rest. I had to get back to work in a couple of hours. Well I guess he took offense with my words. I told him let me know when your done. Well after a couple minutes I see the young man walking towards his truck. I did not think nothing of it. After another 5 minutes, I decided to check on him and he was gone, leaving my door wide open. After 2 days of waiting for a call back from home depot, I decide to go in and check on the results at my local home depot, and they tell me that my home is un even and they cant proceed with the install. Very upsetting words for a man who has spent a lot of his hard earn money at Home Depot. After explaining the situation to the local store and them sweeping my issue under a rug, i decided to call corporate. They told me they would fix the problem by sending my a new installer. That call never came. I call back 3 weeks later and more promises and no help. As a good customer i am highly disappointed with home depot as a whole. I decided to go to Lowe's instead. Went through the same process, they sent the installer. He measured my doors and I got a call back to come in. They were very helpful. Oh and they did not tell me my house was uneven. I realized Home Depot dose not appreciate the customers and they will never have my business again. I will not be shopping there again. Thank you for taking all my money and not providing quality customer service Home Depot. Sincerely A disappointed customer

My favorite HD! Staff is always friendly shelves are always well stocked and there's always something on sale. I do a lot of work with the ProDesk and the ladies that manage it are incredibly helpful and nice. My most recent purchases included a washer dryer set and a refrigerator. The price for all three pieces were better than a Lowe's and my local appliance vendor I use for work. Delivery was on time and the delivery men were friendly, clean and quick. Great experience all around.

It's a big box store, which doesn't really need the help of Yelp. Why am I writing? The service! It was shocking, alarming and pleasing to have so many workers inquire if I needed help with anything. All were patient and smiling throughout the store. Kudos, y'all!

Ok. For the record, I'm a homeowner with little to NOOOOOOO mechanical ability & when I walk into Home Depot I feel like 'Bob the Builder'. Like angels are singing overhead "Hallelujah, Hallelujah..."; instant carpenter-esque mode. This particular day I went in for a rake. One single solitary rake... And I exited with paint brushes, caulk, a hammer, a mallet...Oh and the rake. Ha!!!! I need a shopping list when I go inside because I always seem to exit with MORE than I went in for, like at Walmart; hey are they related??? (random). Yeah, yeah... I gave it 5 stars because of the vast array of items, user friendly store set-up & the SUPER friendly store associates.

Home Depot is Home Depot for the most part, but the Chalmette location deserves mention. They are well stocked and quite clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Their Christmas tree selection was great, even a week and a half before Christmas. And they have special events for kids occasionally. Plus, they get points for opening up after Katrina and demolishing their latecomer competition. Home Depot seems to believe in investing in the area, and that's a good thing.
