“I was able to.get a same day appointment (on Mardi Gras day) even though I was not a pre-existing client. This was very important to me because my cat was showing signs of a possible UTI on a day that other vets were closed. Front desk staf was very positive and friendly. The vet tech was very gentle and thorough, and the vet was amazing. I was also excited to learn that acupuncture services are available. Hours are the best I've seen anywhere, I was very impressed, and will continue to utilize Lafayette Veterinary Care for my pets.”

“Dr. Pete came to our home to help our senior dog cross the rainbow bridge. She was in pain and we didn’t want her to suffer. Him and his vet tech were so nice and so gentle and caring with her. They gave us all the time that we needed to say our goodbyes. And they were so kind to us. We were so thankful for them, and appreciative that they were able to come to our home.”
“I brought my puppy here in critical condition, she was diagnosed with ketoacidosis diabetes. Dr. Jake, his wife, and staff helped so much in trying their best to get her blood sugar levels normal. Thanks to everyone at congress animal hospital, my puppy is doing so much better, and back to her usual self! They worked with me on price, and were very helpful the whole way. Dr. Jake is a good man, cares about the animals hes working with, and is very knowledgeable! I couldn't recommend this veterinarian clinic more! By far the best care and treatment I have ever gotten period!”

“I’ve gotten one of my cats neutered here before and everything went smoothly! However, I recently got my other cat neutered and he developed a fever.:( There was no signs of infection, which is great, but prolonged amounts of stress can cause it. My baby would not eat his food for 3 days and I was incredibly concerned. Now he’s okay because I went to my vet. He was prescribed antibiotics and steroids. The reason I knocked it down one star is because it would be nice for them to offer antibiotics as a preventative measure. Just keep an eye on your pets during the healing process to see if anything is abnormal!”

Believe me - It is challenging to find a local/Lafayette vet who will welcome the opportunity to help exotic/poultry type birds. I am SO GLAD I called Dr. Broussard's office. Even though he didn't have extensive experience treating the type of birds I have , he was humble, honest and took the time to observe and learn, along with me, the best treatment option: for my pheasants. “I literally can't give this place enough stars! I brought my baby, Valentino in on Saturday for severe dehydration and what they believed was pancreatitis. When he didn't get better by the next day after being on fluids all day and night Saturday into Sunday evening they checked him again and discovered a blockage. Very long story short they kept the hospital open and all stayed at work way longer than they were supposed to, went a whole day with no sleep just do a surgery that saved my baby's life. I'm so thankful for their team. They treat your fur baby like they are their baby too and not just some pet or animal. Dr. Moreau, Chloe, Emaline, Sarah and the rest of the staff are literally the epitome of excellence in every way. I thank God for them!”
