“I cannot recommend this vet enough. They have taken amazing care of my cat, Elsa, during her chronic UTIs. She had a couple other issues as well and they kept her for a few nights to watch over her. They were also extremely patient answering all of my calls and texts from a worried crazy cat lady.”

We were recently out of town and were notified by the kennel where our dog was being boarded that she had an ear infection. I was able to call them at 4:00 on a Friday and they worked with me to have her seen before they left for the evening. I was so grateful to them!”

“Absolutely the best dental surgeon in the state hands down . The staff could not have been any more friendly and accommodating. They were able to assess the damage to my pup (broken jaw ) and perform surgery all on the same day . The ONLY THING I have to say that's negative (which can't be helped) is the entrance is a little bit , not easy to get into . The road curves really hard with a steep decline away from the entrance driveway ( only an issue the first time ) . This was the best veterinarian I've ever been to by far”

“I brought my puppy in multiple times here. Dr. Greene is super nice and very informative with any questions and he will even ask you questions to make sure y'all talk about things which was great. The puppy shots were averaged price. I know places off Highland that cost double..but I wouldn't say GDAH was cheap. I can always get an appointment, and they are always helpful over the phone for any weird questions you may have. The sick pet fee is pretty high, which is unfortunate. I really like the atmosphere here but I do wish you could see them wipe down more things sometimes. My dog has peed on their floor and they were quick to clean it up.”

“Between my parents and I, we’ve had 6 dogs and 5 cats that have come to bocage for all of their needs (unless an emergency in which they went to an emergency 24 hour hospital). We have been to other vets in the past and after going to Bocage once we’ve stuck with them. Bocage vet has always answered any questions we had and they take such good care of our animals. There is never a wait and our calls are always answered. We also really appreciate them following up after appointments or procedures to check on our pet. We had to lay our 19 year old westie to rest at one point and although it was at the end of the day on a Friday, we were never rushed and they really sympathized with us. We’ve also had 2 large dogs boarded at their office and they received excellent care. We also got updates during their stay. Their staff and doctors are always so nice and we love how they have office cats that they take care of! They’re just so compassionate. We really can’t speak more highly of this office and its staff. Thanks for all you do!”

“HRAH has cared for our furry family members since our family got our first puppy, more than 40 years ago. Everyone who works there is professional and friendly. The doctors are the best! Our dog loves to go to Playcare. He is currently boarding there while we are out of town. Only the best for our little boy. He has a spacious suite with a TV, window to view outside and a cute bed. And he gets to go to Playcare twice a day. I hope he is loving Camp HRAH. I just hope someone is giving him a goodnight kiss. ❤️”

Peggy and I would like to thank Animal Medical Center, Dr. Jenny Thistlethwaite Troutman, Dr. Patrick Thistlethwaite, and the staff for taking such good care of our cats while we were on vacation. “I have brought in my 18 year old cat here for 2 different major problems in the last 2 months and LSU Vet Med did an outstanding job of taking care of him. My first time here was with Internal Medicine for a radioiodine treatment to cure his hyperthyroidism which was successful. They called me each day while he was boarded to let me know how he was doing. My second and most recent encounter was bringing him into Oncology for radiation treatments for the past month. All of the students, techs, residents, and doctors for both treatments were super kind and reassuring. I cannot thank them enough for giving my cat the best treatment possible.”

“My husband and I don't have children, so our cats are our babies. Their physical and mental well being is of utmost importance to us. The staff at Highland Road Animal Hospital have cared for our cats for 20 years. In 2008, Dr. Jessica O'Neil joined the practice and became our primary veterinarian. We implicitly trust Dr. O'Neil's medical and physical treatment of our cats and suggestions related to psychological issues (home and vet anxiety and home territorial issues etc.). For 18 years, Dr. O'Neil has taken care of our cats. Over these years my husband and I have a formed a collaborative relationship with Dr. O'Neil regarding the overall care of our cats Dr. O'Neil has become family to us. In 2009 our beloved cat, Lil Bit, and had to be put to sleep. Dr.O'Neil was Lil Bit's doctor so we had an understanding that she would be the one to euthanize him. When that day came, it was Dr. O'Neil's day off; nonetheless, she found a babysitter for her toddler son and came to the hospital. The heartbreak of losing Lil Bit was eased by Dr. O'Neil's presence. Our overall experience with Dr. O'Neil and the Highland Road Animal Hospital staff office has been excellent.”

He was a godsend and provided me with valuable advice and support. I knew what I had to do, but at first I couldn't bring myself to bring her in. I waited for a very long time--longer than I should have, at the expense of another pet--and eventually had to see a different veterinarian. I was concerned that she would think I was a bad person for making this choice but instead she was what I can only describe as an angel that was sent to me that day. She said that she could see I hadn't made the decision lightly, which meant so much and when I decided I couldn't be present during the process she didn't make me feel like a monster. I cannot speak for everyone since I have only dealt with Dr. Sacshe and Dr. Moreno but they were the epitome of excellence and compassion and credits to their profession and whoever trained them.”
