This store sells expired food to the public! Seems like management doesn't care if they sell you expired food. Why do they work here if they don't care about their job. A person of excellence would not even dare to feed expired food to a dog much less be okay with selling expired food to the public.

We are frequent shoppers there and I could complain about things we like are not always in stock, but truth be told there is still a supply chain issue in this country. That is not their fault. The reason I decided to go out of my way to write a review today was because of a lovely young lady named Marquita who was working in the Garden Department this afternoon. She went out of her way to help me look for a Christmas cactus that didn't look sick. LOL. I later had to return to her department to look for some light clips and she told me exactly where to find them. A little while later she left her post to come check on me. I couldn't find the one my hubby wanted, so she looked it up and didn't see it. But then, she literally looked up and spotted a few on the very top shelf which was pushed toward the back. We giggled together and she left to go get the ladder. I truly appreciated the fact that she went above and beyond for me. Unfortunately, it's not too often I run into someone who provides excellent customer service these days, but she did, and she deserves to be recognized. People are quick to complain all the time, but when someone does something great, that needs to be known as well. She was very patient, sweet, personable, and helpful. If I were still a hiring manager for a staffing service, I would have definitely given her my business card and tried to convince her to work for my company. Additionally, Tina, my cashier, was also very personable and friendly. It doesn't cost a dime to be friendly. Great job today, ladies! Thank you!

Went to buy my dog some dog treats and was just about to check out when I noticed ants crawling out of the bag and onto my arm. Please be careful when purchasing dog food, and or treats.

Re "Broussard, LA, WalMart": Seems management is absent, even pre-pandemic. Store keeps running out or severely under- stocking their own store brand items, even those extremely popular locally. I repeatedly find myself having to visit other area W-M's to find usual items. Many store employees are helpful, others notoriously aren't. Often very simple questions go ignored. Other W-M's seem to have "supervisors" to help out, but not this one. It is almost as bad as the infamous "Tchoupitoulas WalMart". Rick

On June 29th I ordered a 65 inch Vizio TV on their 4th of July sale. I didnt even mind it was going to take until July 9th to come in, and I didnt even have it shipped to my house. I waited until July 8th and then I looked on the tracker that Walmart sent me and found out that the TV had been in Lafayette since July 7th. I waited until July 9th and it still was not shipped. I called Walmart.com customer service on July 10th around 9am and found that the TV was sitting at Yellow freight in Lafayette and they only delivered to the area where the store I was getting from once a week. The customer service rep called Yellow freight and was told it would be delivered today. Around 5 pm I checked the tracker app and saw it was delivered and signed for at the store. I then called the store and they told me there was no TV or anything else there for me. So I called the customer service back and she called the delivery company and the store and was told it was delivered but no one knew where it was. So in the 15 miles from Lafayette to Abbeville my TV i already paid for disappeared. The lady at Walmart.com told me the best they could do was either get me a replacement TV tha may or may not be delivered on July 23rd or they could just refund my money. She also told me I could take the refunded money and go into the store and buy another TV and of course since it was no longer on sale I would have to pay full price for it. So after waiting for almost 2 weeks for a TV and missing out on all the sales on July 4th I am still without a TV and Walmart wants me to put my faith in them again or just buy one from the store for full price. This is the worst customer service I have ever been part of and a most disgraceful way for Walmart to behave. If they really wanted to make this right they would have offered me a chance to get one in the store for the same price I already paid 2 weeks ago. But they decided to take the corporate greedy way out and stick it to me. They need to understand that people have choices and the way to fight back is to stop buying from them. Tonight I am going to town and buy me the big TV I wanted from one of their competitors and they can kiss me goodbye as a customer

It had all the items we were looking for, and I liked the Father's Day card kiosk they set up. As someone from out of state, I enjoyed purchasing Cajun spice mixes that I can't get where I'm from without shopping online. The craft section looked like all the glitter containers vomited their contents. Lots of random items out of place throughout the store. Clearance aisle had no rhyme or reason.

Later in the night they only have one cashier so the lines are backed up 20+ people. I've waited nearly a half hour in the checkout line multiple times. Get more cashiers and train cashiers to be faster.
