We suspected that one of our dogs had an ear infection, so we called Jimmie Davis Animal Hospital. They were able to give us an appointment that same day. The staff was friendly and caring, and Sassy received lots of love. Thanks to their support, she is on the mend.

I brought my 14 year old cat to JDAH because she quickly developed 2 hard tumors on her face and neck. The doctor did a thorough examination, and he checked if he could aspirate anything from them. Nothing was obtained from aspiration. He explained what possibilities of what it could be but unless was able to examine a specimen of tumor. He gave her a antibiotic injection and some steroid pills to take at home. With everything he did, he explained the reason why. He asked me to bring her back in a week and a half. The tumors grew. I didn’t bring her back until a couple of weeks because I suspected that I would have to decide on whether or not to agree for her to have surgery. I knew at her advanced age, if it was cancer, I would not choose to treat her. She was born a feral kitten and not only afraid of strangers but is afraid of outside because that is where strangers come from. She will look out the window until she sees someone approaching. I feel guilty already for forcing her to go outside, ride in car with her constantly crying, to take her to be touched and examined by strangers. So when the doctor explained that he would have to remove the tumors in order to determine the course of of treatment and even then there was no guarantee that it would lead to a cure, depending on it was. I knew that this was the truth. They were very compassionate when I wrestled with my decision, and they were patient with me as I called my my daughter. When I started to cry more consistently, they gave me some alone time with my sweet cat. The doctor and staff were very understanding when I told them that with her almost 15 years old, her fear, and also the cost of surgery, I have chosen to not to make her go through the procedure. Even though I felt guilty ( no matter what decision I made), I never felt judged by them.They were upfront from the beginning and treated conservatively, not jumping to treat with what would give them the most profit, like some doctors do. They were gentle with not only with my cat, but also with me. The doctor explained that I could take her home ( she was still eating and drinking), and if she stops eating or her quality of life is not good, then bring her back in and they would help make the dying process easier for her. I couldn’t have asked for more from any other vet’s office.

Love this place! The wait time is always decent. The staff and doctors are so friendly and personal. When I had to put my Tuco down, Dr. Meier sat with me the whole time and comforted me. He asked me questions about tuco, and you can tell they really do care and love what they do.

Today was our first time at JDAH and we will definitely be seeing them from now on! I called to make an appointment for my dog that was having some issues and they were able to get me an appointment within 30 minutes. When we got there, we didn’t have to wait at all. They immediately saw us, listened to my concerns, and took care of my baby (even though it turns out nothing was wrong— she was just being a brat LOL). We saw Dr. Hable and he was great, plus all of the staff were very friendly and loved on my baby. 10/10 and thankful to have such great people to take care of my girl.

Took both our dogs in for routine checks and vaccines. We always ask for Dr. Meier and always enjoy seeing the staff and him. Treated us like family and always recognize our fur babies. Have been taking our dogs there for over 30 years. They are the best
