So sharing my experience I usually go each weekend to Bass Pro, normally pick up baits and a rod and reel to build a decent collection know most guys by first name basis gotten a lot of help, and good advice happy with most of my purchases, but this time I went and and got a reel & was looking for a good rod to combo up with it, asked this kid who it was obvious he’s new, horrible customer service skills, about affordable rods, and he spent 10 minutes trying to convince me to get the credit card & to use his name and etc. Normally you say no once they say okay if you change your mind here’s a flyer this kid didn’t take no for an answer & Then proceeded to tell me, well I don’t know anything about fishing anyways so I can’t help you, and screamed across the store for another coworkers, a guy I worked with before, he proceeded to say help this guy out he’s poor looking for a cheap rod. Which I find very unprofessional, I come in there once a week as my go to sporting goods store and spend hundreds of dollars and normally buy top of the line rod and reels, will not be returning to this location after this interaction, very unhappy.

Great location with easy access. Very friendly and knowledgeable employees. It is one of the largest I have been in. Wide range of boats.

What an experience it was for my first time with my dad. I'm 52 he's 76. Might have been a long time before he took me there but hey, found my dad after 50 years. DNA What a Wonder. Thanks for the great time at your store. Dad is a fishing nut all he talks about is fishing. Saw your big giant bass boat out front what about it is. Dad was drooling.

If you are an outdoor enthusiast in the Shreveport-Bossier City area, this should be your go to. There is anything and everything related to fishing, hunting, camping, boating, etc.
I was a little disappointed that they did not have a fairly common fishing reel in left hand retrieve, but otherwise my shopping experience was great.
The customer service was great, I had several associates take time to stop what they were doing and assist me. There also seemed to be plenty of associates, which seems rare these days in this area.
A very good experience overall.

It is a horrible shame at the level of customer service that is not present. I will never understand why it takes two associates to speak with one person about their dog, when there are other customers in the store and need service. Oh and did I mention when there conversation was over one associate walked right past me. So I left without making any purchase. This unfortunately is a common practice at this location. This store gives the brand a bad name.

I'm not sure why it feels like a dirty word or like Im going into a adult shop when I go and ask about the gun section. Maybe all the boyfriends I've told they were attracting negative energy by having one and now here I am. But if your in the market for one I would advise going here. There was one very masculine
(but not the toxic kind) employee who basically gave me a lesson on them like a school lesson. I didn't actually get one because he made such good points about the type I should get that I think I better go to the range and try them out I'll probably end up taking his good advice but after talking with him I realize YouTube may have steered me wrong lol. But I'll definitely go back there when I want to get my firearm and ladies you should also.

Love Bass Pro!
Always a fun experience going in. Their museum and aquarium are top notch. I've been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and this beats that hands down. The MBA is great, but this one seems bigger, and has "regions" where you see the habitat the animals live in. It also has freshwater fish, which MBA doesn't (or didn't when I visited).
Bass Pro stores is good, too. They have a ton of stuff for hunting, fishing, etc. Unfortunately, their knife shop is lacking (they carry a ton of Benchmade and Buck, but only a few ZT or Spyderco (I mean like 3 each, and most are out of stock). I don't recall any Moras or Kershaws, at all. The gun counter is pretty good, but they lack any "modern" leverguns (lever actions with spitzer-type cartridges in box mags). They theoretically can order things from their suppliers, but they don't carry anything in stock, and the associates can't tell off the cuff whether they could get specific items.
