They should really put more info up to make it more accessible.I came here to explore the area but you need to purchase a day pass, there were no prices marked and as you can see in the photo they don’t update their hours.Could be cool but should be better maintained

Was pretty upset when my daughter and I got to the park at 4:30 on a Friday only to be told they stopped selling day passes at 4pm. The website says nothing about that what so ever, it just states that the days and times they are opened and the times they close. Entry fee is 5$ and they close the entrance gate 15 minutes prior to closing time. The lady was rude and I'm so upset because I had been planning to come and play volleyball with my child after she got out of school. The fact that they refuse entry at 4pm on Friday, when the site specifically states they lose at 6:30 is, outrageous and stupid.

The beach was COVERED in dog feces! We had to move two different times to another location due to the HEAVY presence of feces covering the shore!I’m not talking about one or two spots, I literally mean HUNDREDS of piles!!!!!!!!!

Do not camp or try to have a family trip here. They only give you three car passes per camp spot. The day passes are only valid from 8-am to 4:30-pm. They do not have tent camping anymore and the prices are outrageous. They won’t let you bring your camper in after 4:30 pm. It is no longer a nice place. They do not tell you this before planning a trip.

This is a very nice campground! We had a pull-thru site on the lake. The only issue is that the utilities are on the wrong side...not sure why the pull-thru sites are set up that way because the back-in sites are set up the right way. We were able to make it work. The lake views are beautiful and there is a LOT of room between sites. Each site has it's own trash can (which is awesome). We'll definetly be back!

This campground is beautiful!! The views are gorgeous! We explored the campground on our bikes. We also enjoyed the zoo it's small so don't expect much but very clean and the Peacocks were beautiful! Be sure to walk the nature trail there's an eagle's nest along the way and some pretty views. We hated to leave so peaceful and pretty!!

Wonderfully quiet. The lake views are lovely. There are a number of good spots to spread a blanket or sit at a picnic table. The trails are not super well kept (at least not when I visited) and there was trash washed up from littering around the lake sadly, but I really truly enjoyed my time there all the same.

We called and specifically asked what the zoo areas open hours/closing time then asked if it's dog "wiener dog" friendly. The guy replied yes. We drove 30 minutes pulled into the gate paid our $10 ($5 each) they seen the dog in my lap. Once through and entered the wildlife park a rude worker lady complained We have a dog and they're not allowed. She called and confirmed so we went to leave 5 minutes after paying to enter. I requested my refund of $10 and they rudely denied. Thanks to uninformed employees we wasted an hour commuting and $10. It's the principle not the amount but to some people $10 is a lot. Get it right!

Horrible experience with one of the staff members who drives a golf cart around. My family got falsely accused to leaving trash in a parking spot. Someone told me he took a picture of my vehicle so I went ahead and move it to another parking space thinking I parked in a wrong place It was a blue cup by my vehicle and he accused my family of leaving it there. I asked for proof or a video surveillance of me or my family leaving that trash there. But he only showed me a picture of the cup by my vehicle which was not mine. They assumed it was mine since I had 3 canes cups inside my vehicle. He got the deputy to escort me out and I tried to ask for proof but never let me talk and the deputy didn’t even let me talk or nothing. I knew my rights and they both ignored it. But if I was white I know it would of been a different story. If you see trash around your vehicle take a video of it before you get accused and even ban you from the lake. They were rude and disrespectful with no proof at all of me doing it. Check yalls dam security cameras and look at the injustice yall did. Lawyers will be in contact.

The staff is always so nice! We love the natural areas and ability to bring a blanket and enjoy the peace and quiet for an afternoon. As a local photographer, it provides great opportunities for some cool images. This High School senior wanted to recreate his Dungeons and Dragons pirate character. The beach was perfect. He was thrilled with the outcome. @thefocusedlensphotography

Perfect place to relax and stay a while. Camped at RV Site 37 with full hookups, the pad was long and plenty wide enough: it was a bit uneven towards the far back end but we have hydraulic leveling so it wasn’t a problem for us at all. Our 43’ fifth wheel fit just fine, and our F-450 tow vehicle parked in front with room to spare clear of the road. Every day our kids walked along the lake and visited the docks, exploring nature trails and the zoo as well. Peaceful, remote but within a ten minute drive to many gas stations or slightly further to restaurants and stores.Item of note: hookups are not located in any standard configuration. Water was on the opposite side of the power panel, our 35’ hose just reached it. When you book, ask where the hookups are or else you may be inconvenienced. Some sewer drops are very far removed from sites to where hoses might not reach.

My absolute favorite place. I'm 30, I came here when I was 6/7. I remember it vividly. It really stuck with me, picking up peacock feathers and petting the deer. I loved the little museum. It's one of the first times I realized I enjoyed science. If you bring your kids here they will treasure it forever.

The place is nice. We came through and paid our $5/person, asked about a bait store at their location, the lady said they didn't have one but there was a store down the road. We paid, went to get bait came back and showed our receipt. The receipt had # of people, date, & time. But they wanted us to repay. (There was a paper that said no day pass re-entry. I probably should have read all the 10 paper contracts on the window when I went through.) Then they advertise their petting zoo and turns out there is no petting. Not a fun morning for our family here.

$5 a person?!? That's a lot! Why not charge by the car? No annual pass option either. The petting zoo, is not. Only reason I gave it two stars is because I did catch one small catfish and a pretty large bluegill...I'm not going again...plenty of place to fish for free...it's a shame, location is nice
